JoJo returns with the third single from forthcoming LP, Mad Love. “FAB.” Is jam-packed with attitude, but falls short of previous single, “Mad Love.”
Preparing for her comeback album, Mad Love., JoJo releases a third single, “FAB.” On “FAB.,” the urban-pop singer is assisted by rapper Remy Ma. The results are respectable, but not earth-shattering. What does “FAB.” Stand for? Fake ass b*tches…

Expectedly, “FAB.” features slick production in the urban-pop vein. Production is a strong suit, but the theme is predictable. JoJo simply doesn’t like fake people – a reasonable opinion. The problem is, the viewpoint isn’t innovative. The chorus is sound, however, featuring some clever, biting lyrics:
“Fake ass b*tches / when they smile in your face, but behind you, it ain’t well wishes / when they eatin’ all the food off your plate and they don’t do dishes / when they words and they actions blur and they don’t know different / no time for the fake ass b*tches.”
Remy Ma guests on the third verse. Much like JoJo, the effect is predictable:
“I got both middle fingers all the way up / and for fraud broads, I don’t give two f*cks.”
Final Thoughts
All in all, “FAB.” is brutally honest and slick, but doesn’t necessarily propel JoJo next level. Profane and unapologetic seems to be JoJo’s M.O., but the ability to incorporate every curse word into an album doesn’t necessarily build success. “Mad Love.” was a better moment for her, showcasing the power of her voice sans the overabundance of expletives.
