John Summit, The Chainsmokers, and Ilsey put in serious work on the electrifying, fun, and vibe-filled single, “ALL THE TIME.”
“ALL THE TIME” commences with an intense, crescendoing synth. Ilsey’s pitch-shifted vocals shine, accompanied by an electrifying groove and sickening synths. The vocal layering deserves a huge shout out. The sound palette is one of the biggest selling points of “ALL THE TIME.” The melodies are tuneful throughout. The lyrics are catchy and repetitive, which is on brand for dance music. There is only one verse, which features the most distinct lyrics of the song (“There was a time / I thought I had everything I ever wanted / Now I go to sleep / Just to dream, waking up to see your eyes…”). The first build stands out (“When there’s nobody else”), where there is a gradual acceleration of the tempo (beginning circa 1:21). By 1:38 in, the tempo is lightning quick, and the intensity only ratchets up. All told, John Summit, The Chainsmokers, and Ilsey put in serious work on “ALL THE TIME”. From start to finish, this is a fun, fun, fun dance/electronic track. No notes, only vibes!
