Ultimately, girl, in Mayer’s eyes, “Your body is a wonderland, I’ll use my hands.” Even though physicality is clearly involved on “Your Body Is a Wonderland,” Mayer does seem dedicated to one person only: “Damn, baby / You frustrate me / I know you’re mine all mine, all mine / But you look so good it hurts sometimes.” Mayer has debunked the fact that “Your Body is a Wonderland” is a make-out song. He shared with Rolling Stone, “It’s really about loving every part of someone like they’re a jungle gym.” Also denied/debunked is the fact that it’s about his ex-girlfriend actress, 🎭 Jennifer Love Hewitt.  While Mayer has a legit argument there’s more to “Your Body is a Wonderland” than a physical connection, he can’t deny it’s part of the script!

Final Thoughts 💭

🎵 “Your Body Is a Wonderland” is one of six top 20 hits earned by John Mayer.  It’s a well-performed and well-written adult alternative, pop/rock song. It’s one of the more innocent entries to appear on After Dark 🕛 🌃 but don’t get it twisted – him and her still “Get it in” if you catch my drift!
