Jhené Aiko, "P*$$Y Fairy (OTW)" [Photo Credit: Def Jam]R&B artist Jhené Aiko, known for her sensual music, gets quite raw on her first single of 2020, the sexed-up “P*$$Y Fairy (OTW).”

“Don’t be surprised, boy, when I bust it wide…” What more can you say but holy shit! R&B artist Jhené Aiko is notable for her seductive, sexy brand of music – UNDERSTATEMENT. She returns with quite the overt single, “P*$$Y Fairy (OTW).” Honestly, with such a TMI title, it’s crystal clear what Aiko is going for.

As one would expect, the production is incredibly lush (Julian-Quan Viet Le) – urban to the core.  This is a fitting background for sex, keeping it 100.  Jhené Aiko is true to self vocally, never breaking a sweat, even as the lyrics she sing are quite risqué – X-rated by all means.  She doesn’t ease the listener in either, asserting on the verse, “I know you lover fuckin’ me…” No gray area there in the least! On the refrain, she’s just plum filthy:

“We be gettin’ so loud
That dick make my soul smile
That dick make me so damn proud…”

Again, what more can you say but HOLY SHIT! The opening lyric of this review hails from the chorus, where as expected, Aiko states what she does with her private parts:

“Don’t be surprised, baby, it’s just me
Don’t be surprised, boy, when I bust it wide
I hypnotize you with this pussy
Now you feel like you can fly.”

Final Thoughts

So, what does one make of “P*$$Y Fairy (OTW)?”  Well, it’s quite raw – maybe too raw to be honest.  Sex is a great inspiration and topic for songs by all means, but Jhené Aiko goes for a bit of overkill here.  If you’re all about complete and utter freakiness, you’ll be into this.  If you prefer your sex to be just as potent though less X-rated, you may take issue with Aiko’s brutal honesty.  As for me, this is steamy, but pushes the envelope a bit too much.
