Ah, bring on Midnight Heat 🕛 🔥! Wait – it is not usually hot at midnight! Well, it is steaming hot 🥵 at midnight when it comes to this naughty, innuendo, and sex-laden column featuring songs intended for nighttime. We are talking about that after-dark type $hi†, ya dig? These risqué, unapologetic records often raise eyebrows and temperature alike. In the 89th edition of Midnight Heat (2024), we explore the naughty, sexy vibes behind, “Touchdown” by Jacquees.

Jacquees, Baby Making [📷: Cash Money]“Touchdown / Hit the driver, text you, girl, I’m on the way.” R&B singer/songwriter Jacquees appropriately named his 10-track, 2024 album Baby Making.  Sex is his forte.  The sex begins full throttle in the first track from the LP, “Touchdown”.  No, Jacquees isn’t channeling his inner Patrick Mahomes, at least for the most part.  He’s thinking with his… “Adjust the mirrors / I’m feeling toxic / Like it’s a contest / I’m about to give you the prize.” The emphasis is on the prize, and that prize is – drum roll, please – SEX! Jacquees penned the song alongside K-Major. Nash B and Woody McClain produced. The backdrop is smooth, sensual, and rhythmic – the perfect inspiration for the sexcapades!

Bitmoji ImageHave I mentioned that “Touchdown” is a prime example of sex on the track? Of course, I have! “I wanna eat it / I’ll never mistreat it, naw,” Jacquees asserts in the pre-chorus, continuing, “You undefeated / Referee gon’ be screamin’ out.” Oh, snap! In the chorus, the first section heard on “Touchdown,” Jacquees reveals his cards early on.  “Your towel / Wrapped around you right now, take it off your waist (Yeah) / And, baby, assume the position (Yeah) / Come and climb on top of me (Yeah).” Oh, snap! Channeling his inner R. Kelly (the music, not the person), Jacquees adds, “You remind me of my Jeep / I’ll put it in drive.” Word.  To recap, sex is the modus operandi of “Touchdown”.  While I can personally speak on Jacquees’ skills in the bedroom, when it comes to singing about ‘how it goes down,’ he’s a pro.  He sings well on this naughty and titillating joint where he always seems to find the endzone.
