Ice Spice, “In Ha Mood” | Track Review 🎵

The ever-ascending Ice Spice is cocky and confident to the n^th degree on “In Ha Mood,” her first single of 2023.

Six key words, y’all: “Like, damn, she in her mood.” Yup, those are the lyrics that grace the chorus of 🎵 “In Ha Mood”, the first new 🎙 Ice Spice (Isis Gaston) single of 2023. Although “In Ha Mood” barely crosses two minutes in duration, Gaston gives the listeners ample vibe.  She also musters up two verses.  Fueling the fire on this brief single is production courtesy of 🎛 RIOTUSA, who gets a shoutout on the intro, deservedly.

So, why is Ice Spice “In Ha Mood?” Basically, she’s a bad bitch, or so she implies.  Even though “he packin’, I know by his pants,” per Ice, she makes it clear, he “don’t got a chance” with her. Woo! Her flow is on-point throughout – rhythmic, but not too slow or too fast. Always confident, she also spits, “They like, ‘Ice, how you always stay hot?’ / Oh, they mad ‘cause I keep makin’ bops.” Well, she’s got a point – she is on the rise in the rap game.  The second verse continues to find her locked-in and loaded with no shortage of biting, unapologetic lines.  A surefire bullet: “Lamborghini roarin’ when I hop out the truck / Pretty bitch like Lauryn with a big ass butt, yup.” No further explanation or analysis necessary.

Final Thoughts 💭 

“If I was bitches, I’d hate me a lot.” That says it all, doesn’t it? Ice Spice brings the heat on 🎵 “In Ha Mood” and we wouldn’t have it any other way.  Her mood may not change your life, but its lit all in all.
