The Weeknd, assisted by Daft Punk, finally ascends to no. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 with “Starboy.” Rae Sremmurd and “Black Beatles” falls to no. 2.
“It’s been a long time coming.” The Weeknd even expressed the sentiment himself, if out of context: “I Feel it Coming.” After being stuck behind Rae Sremmurd (“Black Beatles”), “Starboy” (ft. Daft Punk) finally ascended to the no. 1 spot on the Billboard Hot 100. “Black Beatles” didn’t slip far – no. 2. Likewise, another juggernaut, “Closer”, continues to pack a punch.
