Up-and-coming Norwegian electro-pop artist Hanne Leland delivers an infectious, upbeat, and uplifting record with “Carry On.”

There’s nothing better than fresh blood – not in a creepy, vampirical way! No, we’re talking about fresh blood in the music industry.  On our hands, ladies and gents, we have an electro-pop star on the rise – Hanne Leland.  Her star burns bright on exuberant single “Carry On.”  Of “Carry On,” Leland states:

“Carry On is about finding strength to move on in the midst of chaos…. I wanted to write a song about how we need to unite and find strength in one another, so that we can carry on and spread love wherever we go.”

Say it sister! Leland wrote the single in LA with Juno Award winning producer Brian West and Grammy-winning songwriter and producer Chin Injeti.  Big name collaborators fit for a rising star!

Before getting into the specifics of “Carry On,” it should be noted that Hanne Leland has a truly distinct voice.  Hearing her for the first time, it’s clear she ‘brings something different to the picture.’ Sometimes different can mean different things for different audience. In this case, different is nothing short of awesome.  Leland showcases a voice that is tailor-made for pop.  The way that her voice cuts through on “Carry On” – pierces with a bite – is a gargantuan selling point.  This is particularly evident at the top of her range, which is nicely mixed with effects to sweeten the deal.

Final Thoughts

In addition to the voice, the music itself is strong in its own right.  From the jump, the energy is ‘through the rooftop.’  The beat instantly makes you want to dance your butt off.  The chorus is clearly where the ‘bread is buttered.’  It’s catchy, extremely energetic, and confirms the overall goodness that is “Carry On.”  Call “Carry On” what it is – a jam!
