So, without further ado, on the 12th edition of LGBTQ Bopz ๐ŸŒˆ๐ŸŽถ (2022), we highlight ๐ŸŽต โ€œHold My Bodyโ€ performed by ๐ŸŽ™ Hamid J.

Theme & Lyrics โœ

Bitmoji Imageโ€œHold my body / Never let me go.โ€ Woo! Itโ€™s entirely possible that Iโ€™ve taken a fancy for ๐ŸŽ™ Hamid J โ€“ just saying.  Yes, the LGBTQ ๐ŸŒˆ Iran originating, Germany raised, Los Angeles based musician is handsome (duh), but what I most fancy is his music.  In the previous edition of LGBTQ Bopz ๐ŸŒˆ๐ŸŽถ, we (I) raved about his โ€˜cakesโ€™ โ€“ his ๐ŸŽต โ€œBoulangerieโ€, of course ๐Ÿ˜‰. This round, heโ€™s more proactive, continuing to make us feel some type of way on an earlier 2021 single, ๐ŸŽต โ€œHold My Bodyโ€.  Surely the man didnโ€™t think that we wouldnโ€™t take him up on his offer ๐Ÿ˜œ ๐Ÿคค ๐Ÿ˜! Hey, might as well play into the thirst!

Bitmoji ImageHamid J sends his boyfriend (or love interest) an ultimatum on โ€œHold My Body.โ€ โ€œYou been dragging me along for weeks, and it feels like you been searching to find,โ€ he sings in the first verse. Hmm, sounds like a case of indecisiveness! In the second verse, he tells this boy to get his โ€˜sugar honey iced teaโ€™ together โ€“ โ€œYou gotta trust the plan / Cuz somebody else may slide in /โ€ฆ So boy, donโ€™t be insecure!โ€ Tell him Hamid! The cure for the miscues this boyโ€™s been committing against my boy, Hamid โ€“ intimacy and all it entails.  The chorus sums up what he yearns while the pre-chorus, over this groovy, seductive production, lays it out:

โ€œShow how about tonight

You come over make things right

We start with a drink or two

Put us both in the mood

Iโ€™ve been yearning all your touches

Caress my body and watch this

Desert with no rain

Spark and burst into flames.โ€

Damn โ€“ thatโ€™s lit!

Final Thoughts ๐Ÿ’ญ

Bitmoji ImageSo, do you understand why Iโ€™m falling in love with Hamid J ๐Ÿ˜? Itโ€™s the music, in all its suggestive glory! Thereโ€™s clearly a personal problem that heโ€™s experiencing with a man who is indecisive about the state of their relationship or whatever it is, but more interesting is imagining the resolution ๐Ÿ˜ˆ.  Like ๐ŸŽต โ€œBoulangerieโ€, ๐ŸŽต โ€œHold My Bodyโ€ is firmly planted in LGBTQ ๐ŸŒˆ soundtrack (the music Video ๐ŸŽถ๐Ÿ“ผ provides further confirmation), but the theme should be relatable to folks of all walks of life.  Intimacy can be therapeutic โ€“ NO CAP!
