Gucci Mane Flexes Hard on “Bling Blaww Burr,” a promo single for the rapper’s upcoming album, Woptober.

Gucci Mane is hard at work since being released from prison.  He started off fast by dropping new album Everybody Looking in July.  Now, he’s set to release a new project, Woptober. “Bling Blaww Burr” serves as a pre-release single from the forthcoming album.

“Bling Blaww Burr” opens with a marvelous synth. Producer Metro Boomin gives the record a hard beat to match the malicious sounding synth. Expectedly, with Boomin on the boards, the production work is sound. But “Bling Blaww Burr” is more than a hot beat.

Gucci Mane has constructed a flex, turn-up track with “Bling Blaww Burr.”  He covers every shallow thing you expect – smoking, sex, money, cars.  Among his most sexual moments comes in verse one:

“And tell your sister I don’t love her / I’m in love with her mouth”

It is indeed a reference to oral sex. Young Dolph piggy backs at the top of the second verse:

“She got good head and a fat onion / she only f*ck n*ggas with money / I killed that p*ssy all in her tummy / then I asked that b*tch ‘who run it?’”

The hook is as dumb as they come:

“Bling blaww / bling blaww / bling burr…”

Final Thoughts

All in all, “Bling Blaww Burr” is a good track.  It isn’t transcendent nor far-fetch for Gucci Mane, but respectable.  Respectable meaning contextually – Gucci sounds pretty irresponsible, ultimately.
