The ever prolific, Southern rapper Gucci Mane, enlists breakout female rapper Megan Thee Stallion for the entertaining bum anthem, “Big Booty.”
“She’s a big booty bitch showing ass and cheeks…” Charming Gucci Mane, charming. The mush-mouthed, southern rapper certainly continues to be prolific, even when the content is, well, shallow AF. “Big Booty” – a fitting title indeed – doesn’t appear on his 2019 album, Delusions of Grandeur, but is set to appear on Woptober II, the follow-up to Wopbober, which arrived in 2016. To refresh your memory, or lack thereof on Woptober, it featured the hella catchy banger, “Bling Blaww Burr” featuring Young Dolph. Gucci!
“Big Booty” just inches past the two-minute mark in regard to duration. What will come to a shock as no one, depth is NOT the M.O., but the title and the aforementioned lyrical excerpt should’ve confirmed that.“Big Booty” was produced by J. White Did It, who gets a shout out in the intro (“J. White, I need a beat I can go off on, ooh”). Gucci Mane commences with the chorus, which is lengthier than a standard chorus. But, to each his own, right? Right. Of course, the chorus is all about bitches and booty:
“Tell the skinny hoes to point me where the thick hoes at He want a flat booty bitch, I’m not with all that I got chips for days and I got whips for weeks I bring out the fleet, and it bring out the freaks…”
Megan Thee Stallion handles the sole verse of the song. Expectedly, given the title and her own music, Megan is unapologetic in her ass rapping endeavors. A prime example begins her verse, as she spits, “Big old ass is heavy, shake that shit like jelly / Put me on your plate and slurp that shit up like spaghetti…” Wow. Later, she adds, “I ain’t never met a ho I felt like I had to compete with, uh / This the type of booty make a nigga drop his bitch, wait…” Perhaps her best moment makes reference to an iconic rock/R&B musician, water, and the TV show, Martin:
“Rollin’ like I’m Tina, pussy Aquafina Make this booty giggle like you Martin and I’m Gina, hmm…”
Final Thoughts
“Big Booty” certainly won’t change your life, but if you ever needed a booty anthem to get you through October (Woptober II, baby), Gucci Mane has you covered. What more is there really to say?
