Getting to Know… Soul Blast | Interview 🎤

In the 310^th Q&A in our Getting to Know… series, we get the inside scoop from the Polish band, Soul Blast.  

“We’re just friends playing heavy and groovy music and have a lot of fun with it..” Right on, 🎙 Soul Blast, right on! Like our many other Getting to Know Q&As, we get the inside scoop on the band from Katowice, Poland: genesis, goals, musical influences, and of course, current, and future musical endeavors. So, without further ado, let’s jump right into 🎤 Getting to Know…Soul Blast: Interview No. 310!

For those who may not be familiar with Soul Blast, what would you say makes you distinct or unique? How do you rock the audience’s socks off?

🎤 We’re just friends playing heavy and groovy music and have a lot of fun with it.  We’re from Katowice (Poland). The band was formed at the beginning of 2017. Since that time, we have released 2 LPs, 4 EPs, and 3 SPs.

Okay, let’s explore some juicy backstories. How did Soul Blast form and what were some of the goals or visions you had early on?

🎤 We’ve known each other for many years, but we haven’t seen each other for a long time because of our work and our families. We met after a very long time. Slowly, step by step, new riffs appeared and that’s how Soul Blast was born.

Let’s talk more about goals.  Have your goals or your perspectives changed since first starting out? What do your aspirations or goals look like now?

🎤 Now, they are still the same. Just to have fun making juicy riffs and enjoy it.

Everybody is influenced by somebody else. Whom would you consider some of your biggest musical influences and how are they influential?

🎤 We grew up on the music of the 90s. There are many bands we like and respect, but we want to be, and we are Soul Blast. Anyone can listen to us and maybe then some references to specific bands will be found.

Up until this point in your career, what would you describe as your favorite song you’ve recorded or performed live? What makes that song special?

🎤 Definitely 🎵 “Soul Blast”. This song is our support for all cancer sufferers and their families.

Is there anything else awesome, cool, or left-of-center the world should know about you? Secret talents or surprising tidbits?  

🎤 Many people who have listened to our music say that we should be famous and popular. We are working on it 😊.

Closing out, what is Soul Blast currently working on, promoting that you can share with us or want us to know about? We love secrets, but there’s no pressure.
