“Nymphic isn’t just a band—we’re a force of nature.” Word. Nymphic colorfully expounds, “We’re building an entire universe for our fans to dive into. Our project spreads across multiple platforms, combining crushing riffs and epic melodies with thrilling music videos and a comic series that tells the story of our mascot, the Nymphic Flower.” Mind-blowing 🤯 stuff! We get the inside scoop on the band’s genesis, goals, musical influences, and current and future musical endeavors. So, without further ado, let’s jump into Getting to Know… Nymphic: Interview No. 446!

For those who may not be familiar with you, what would you say makes Nymphic distinct or unique? How do you rock the audience’s socks off?

Nymphic isn’t just a band—we’re a force of nature. What makes us unique is that we’re not just creating music but building an entire universe for our fans to dive into. Our project spreads across multiple platforms, combining crushing riffs and epic melodies with thrilling music videos and a comic series that tells the story of our mascot, the Nymphic Flower. When you come to a Nymphic show, it’s not just a performance—it’s an experience. We bring high-energy, immersive live sets that pull the audience into our world, leaving them buzzing long after the last note fades. It’s metal, it’s art, and it’s storytelling all rolled into one. \m/

Okay, let’s explore some juicy backstories. How did Nymphic form, and what were some of your goals or visions early?

From the very beginning, Nymphic has been about more than just making music—it’s been about bringing a story to life. Our goal has always been to create a space where people can connect with the deeper messages in our work and let loose, releasing their frustrations with the world the same way we do through our music.

The band’s origins trace back to our singer’s (Stix) vision of telling a dystopian sci-fi story through music. It started as an acoustic duo searching for the perfect sound to embody Nymphic. That all changed when we found bassist Tony (hailing from Italy) and drummer Omi (straight out of Venezuela). Together, they brought their own local scene influences to fuse with the metal energy of London, transforming our sound into the alternative powerhouse it is today. With the recent addition of Adam on guitar, we’ve leveled up both our sound and our ambition. This is just the beginning of what we’re ready to unleash!

Let’s talk more about goals.  Have your goals or your perspectives changed since first starting? What do your aspirations or goals look like now?

Our goals have definitely evolved since we first started. In the beginning, it was all about finding our sound and making a name for ourselves on the London scene—and after two years of gigging here, we’ve built something we’re proud of.

But now? We’re ready to spread our roots far beyond London and bring Nymphic to a wider audience.

This year, we’re branching out with shows lined up in Manchester, Cambridge, Suffolk, and more to be announced soon, but trust us—once we’ve conquered the UK, we are coming for Europe!

NymphicEverybody is influenced by somebody else. Whom would you consider some of your biggest musical influences, and how are they influential?

As a band, our influences are as diverse as they are heavy hitting, with each member bringing their own unique flavor to the mix:

  • Stix draws inspiration from the legends Iron Maiden and Rage Against the Machine, blending soaring melodies with unrelenting energy.
  • Tony channels modern metalcore giants like Landmvrks and Polaris, infusing the sound with crushing riffs and emotional depth.
  • Adam finds his groove in the dark, melodic vibes of Avenged Sevenfold and Korn, adding a dynamic edge to our music.
  • Omi was inspired to pick up the sticks by none other than Slipknot’s Joey Jordison, whose relentless drumming continues to fuel his passion.

Together, the distinct styles and sonic qualities of these bands have deeply influenced us, and when combined with our own creative energy, they’ve shaped the unique sound that defines Nymphic. It’s like we’re taking the best elements of the metal world and fusing them into something entirely our own.

Ah, the fun stuff.  What’s your craziest tour story or the wackiest thing that’s happened during a performance?  Feel free to be creative.

Here’s a fun one.

A couple of years ago, we were gearing up for our first-ever headline show at the amazing Engine Rooms in Bow, London. We were beyond stoked and even brought in a photographer to capture the big night. Everything was set for an unforgettable show—but not quite in the way we expected.

Right before we were set to take the stage, disaster struck. During the main support band’s set, someone dropped their drink directly into a stage socket, short-circuiting the entire venue. The lights came back on, but the stage power was completely gone. No amps, no mics—nothing.

For a moment, it felt like the night might be ruined, but Stix rallied the band and declared, “The show must go on!” We weren’t about to let a little thing like power stop us. To the surprise of everyone in the venue, we grabbed an acoustic guitar, cranked our bass and vocals as loud as we could without amplification, and threw everything we had into the performance to drown out the drums.

The energy in the room was unreal. We turned what could’ve been a disaster into one of the most memorable shows we’ve ever played. That night, we proved one thing to ourselves and everyone there: nothing can stop Nymphic.

To this point in your career, what would you describe as your favorite song you’ve recorded or performed live? What makes that song special?

That’s a tough one.

Our last release, “Peony,” holds a special place in our hearts.

It marked the beginning of a new chapter for Nymphic. With this track, we refined our sound, found our voice as a band, and started telling the tale of the Nymphic Flower. It symbolized a moment when we truly came together as a unit and embraced the next level of our journey. A lot was changing for us—both as a band and as individuals—when we wrote “Peony,” and it became a symbol of resilience. The line “Frustration is my motivation” says it all—it’s about pushing through the hardest times and coming out stronger.

But then there’s “Party at No. 10,” our standalone political, rap-metal anthem—and our very first single. This track is electric live, a guaranteed crowd favorite every time. As Tony always says, “Every band has that one song they have to play live, or the audience feels robbed. “Party at No. 10” is ours.”

Can you keep a secret… lean in closer… closer…

We’re re-recording “Party at No. 10” for a surprise release. But you didn’t hear that from us. 😉 Keep your ears to the ground—it’s going to be worth the wait.

Is there anything else awesome, cool, or left-of-center we should know about Nymphic? Secret talents or surprising tidbits?

We’re all massive nerds at heart—seriously, from Lord of the Rings to Star Wars, we love it all. If you listen closely, you might even catch some of those influences sneaking into our lyrics. Nerd culture runs deep in the Nymphic universe.

Outside of music, it’s hard to say what else we do because, well, music kind of is our life! But here are some fun tidbits:

  • Adam owns the entire F1 LEGO collection (it’s as epic as it sounds).
  • Tony’s a talented photographer who captures amazing shots of other bands when he’s not slinging the bass.
  • Omi is a wizard in the kitchen.
  • Stix is an avid gardener who finds Zen among the plants.

We’re also huge supporters of the local music scene. Whenever we’re not playing, you’ll find us in the crowd cheering on local bands or catching our favorite acts when they come to town. It’s all about staying connected to the music community that inspires us every day!

NymphicWhat is Nymphic currently working on or promoting that you can share? We love secrets, but there’s no pressure.

Right now, we’re deep into the next chapter of the Nymphic saga! Our first trilogy continues with the release of “Enemy” on January 31st, 2025, available on all streaming platforms. The accompanying music video, which picks up right where our last release, “Peony”, left off, will also go live on YouTube.

But that’s not all—we’re also dropping the second chapter of our comic series on ‘Tapas’, which dives even deeper into the world of Nymphic. Shortly after “Enemy,” we’ll release the final track and music video to complete this first trilogy of the Nymphic saga.

What makes this so special is that we’ve done it all ourselves—every frame of the video, every panel of the comic—and we couldn’t be prouder of the result. This is our world, our story, and we’re beyond excited to share it with everyone.

Oh, and since you mentioned secrets… we might just be planning a 4-track EP for the second half of 2025. Stay tuned—this is just the beginning of what we’ve got in store.

Thank you so much for sharing and taking the time to answer these questions, and best of luck moving forward.

Thanks for taking the time to interview us and feature us! The questions were fun to answer!
