Starting things off, for those who may not be familiar with Ninebanks, what would you say makes your band distinct or unique? How do you rock the audience’s socks off?

🎤 I wouldn’t say we have a distinct style but what we will say is our music is full of energy very up-tempo and very catchy! Will be very surprised if our choruses don’t get stuck in your head after listening to our music.

Okay, let’s explore some juicy backstories. How did your Ninebanks form and what were some of the goals or the visions you had as a band early on?

🎤 We started up April 2021 when drummer 🎙️ Jack got in touch with 🎙️ Callum to start a pop-punk band. Callum knew Jack Woods from a previous band and knew he had the talent and songwriting for pop-punk so, the main core of the band was sorted. We later asked 🎙️ Lewis to join who is a longtime friend of Callum’s, we had our first practice in April then NINEBANKS was born! Our vision was just to have fun and create the old school pop-punk we all loved growing up to. No gimmicks no different styles just straight up pop punk.

Let’s talk more about goals.  Have your goals or your perspectives changed since first starting out? What do your aspirations or goals look like now?

🎤 Our goal was always just to get some music out there and release a track just to see what the vibe was like. That’s led us down the path of playing some shows now and actually getting offered a very big show in Newcastle on November 8th! This year, we will release another track, and cannot wait to see what 2021 holds, it will deffo hold more music but maybe even a tour? Who knows…?

Everybody is influenced by somebody else. Who would you consider some of your biggest musical influences and how are they influential?

🎤 Going back to our sound we take HUGE influences from the likes of All Time Low, blink-182, Green Day, Fall Out Boy. The type of music what gets stuck in your head after listening, we ain’t going out there shredding guitar solos we just want to make catchy pop-punk music! A good old 4/5 chord power anthem.

Ah, the fun stuff.  What’s your craziest tour story or the wackiest thing that’s happened during a performance?  Feel free to be creative.

🎤 Sadly, we only started April this year, but a funny story is about our tracks. It’s been played on two pretty cool radio station and Callum sent them the wrong version, haha. Not a big problem just a few tweaks in what we would notice, haha.

 Up until this point in your career, what would you describe as your favorite song you’ve recorded or performed live? What makes that song special?

🎤 We have a track coming out in December called 🎵 “Little Silver”. This song is certainly our favourite to play, and we can’t wait to release it. It’s a pure head bopper!

Is there anything else awesome, cool, or left of center the world should know about you? Secret talents or surprising tidbits?

🎤 Secret talent is that we are absolutely class on 🎮 Warzone so you can always catch us on Verdansk! We more 🎮 Xbox than 🎮 PlayStation tho, haha!

Closing things out, what is Ninebanks currently working on, promoting that you can share with us or want us to know about? We love secrets, but there’s no pressure.  

🎤 As mentioned before. We are in the studio recording drums for our track 🎵 “Little Silver”, which will be out December! We are very lucky to be able to do everything else in Lewis spare room, as we have a very talented German-based company called injected smiles doing our work!  This is our first track done by him so you can see what we are about via Spotify, Apple Music, and YouTube.
