Getting to Know... Liquid Therapy: Interview #121 [Photo Credits: Liquid Therapy, Brent Faulkner, The Musical Hype]On the 121st interview on The Musical Hype, we get the scoop from hard rock / metal / grunge collective, Liquid Therapy.

The interviews just keep on piling up! Amazingly, here at The Musical Hype, we are on our 121st interview in the Getting to Know… series – Rock TF on! In our latest Q&A, we get some info on the Belgian hard rock/nu metal band, Liquid Therapy.  Great band name, right? Right! Anyways, the band with a self-proclaimed “nice mix of hard rock, metal, and grunge” is comprised of five members: Bart Constenoble (vocals), Gino Lippens (guitar), Davy Gheerardyn (guitar), Luc Van Dyck (drums), and Hans Van Den Hende (bass).  Enough background though – that’s what we’ve got Getting to Know… Liquid Therapy: Interview #121!

Let’s get this started off right. For those who may not be familiar with Liquid Therapy, what would you say makes your band distinct or unique? How do you rock the audience’s socks off?

We have a nice mix of hard rock, metal and grunge that is audible [accessible] for everyone.  Also, we have a song where we entertain the crowd, and they can sing with us.

Okay, let’s explore some juicy backstories. How did your Liquid Therapy form and what were some of the goals or the visions you had as a band early on?

Mostly, the two guitar players [started] this awesome band. With the help of social media, every piece [has fallen in place and came] together now. [We] make our own music, to share and play live as hard we can.

Liquid Therapy [Photo Credit: Liquid Therapy]Let’s talk more about goals.  Have your goals or your perspectives changed since first starting out? What do your aspirations or goals look like now?

Along the way, after some great gigs and positive reactions, we had something like, “man there is a lot of potential, let’s work hard and let the world know who Liquid Therapy is!”

Everybody is influenced by somebody else. Who would you consider some of your biggest musical influences and how are they influential?

For me, singers like Shaun Morgan from Seether or Scott Stapp (ex-Creed). They can sing so clean but with a little heavy touch…that’s what I like the most.

Ah, the fun stuff.  What’s your craziest tour story or the wackiest thing that’s happened during a performance?  Feel free to be creative.

I remember that time when it was time for our try-out. A hall full of people we know – friends, family, or people from the area. Before we get on stage, damn, our hands were shaking! But we did it so well. It was a great show and from that moment, we knew if we work hard, we [would have] a chance to play everywhere.

Up until this point in your career, what would you describe as your favorite song you’ve recorded or performed live? What makes that song special?

It’s clearly the song, “Keep on Going.” A song where we let the crowd sing with us, always [gives] goosebumps; that’s the coolest part.

Liquid Therapy [Photo Credit: Liquid Therapy]Is there anything else awesome, cool, or left of center the world should know about you? Secret talents or surprising tidbits?

Easy. With [Bart’s] voice and [our] awesome sound, we make sure we give our soul on stage, have a good time, and let the people talk about us (in the good way).

Closing things out, what is Liquid Therapy currently working on, promoting that you can share with us or want us to know about? We love secrets, but there’s no pressure.

At the moment we have a new drummer, so, first, it’s time to make [him] feel good and work hard to know our songs and play our debut album as good as possible. After that, it’s time to make new songs and I can tell the future will be louder, harder! Cheers!

Thank you so much for sharing taking the time to answer these questions, and best of luck moving forward.
