Getting To Know... ChiodoSupply: Interview 462 (2025) [📷: Brent Faulkner / The Musical Hype; ChiodoSupply]In the 462nd Q&A in our Getting to Know… series, we get the inside scoop from ChiodoSupply.

“My shows feel more like revival meetings than concerts,”ChiodoSupply responds to the first burning question in our Q&A. Before that unique answer regarding what makes him unique, he asserts, “I’m what happens when a punk rocker disappears into the backwoods of America with a broken soul.” Word. In our 462nd Q&A, we get the inside scoop on ChiodoSupply’s genesis, goals, musical influences, and current and future musical endeavors. So, without further ado, let’s jump right into Getting to Know… ChiodoSupply: Interview No. 462!

For those who may not be familiar with you, what would you say makes ChiodoSupply distinct or unique? How do you rock the audience’s socks off?

I’m what happens when a punk rocker disappears into the backwoods of America with a broken soul. My shows feel more like revival meetings than concerts. One moment you’re stomping your boots through a chorus, the next you’re swallowing a lump in your throat because the lyrics hit too close to home.

ChiodoSupply [📷: ChiodoSupply]Okay, let’s explore some juicy backstories. How did ChiodoSupply form, and what were some of your goals or visions early?

Model Citizen started in a rat-infested storage unit that smelled like rotten yeast and looked like a murder scene. We were a punch to the face in the 90s underground punk scene—raw, fast, unpolished, and pissed off. But life has a way of flipping your script. After years on the road, some breakups, some breakdowns, ChiodoSupply was born: same fire, new fuel. The vision now? Tell the truth, even when it hurts.

Let’s talk more about goals. Have your goals or perspectives changed since you first started? What do your aspirations or goals look like now?

Back then, the goal was simple: survive. Scream loud enough to be heard over the noise. Now it’s deeper—I want to create a body of work that still matters when I’m gone. Songs that haunt people in the best way. I’m building something real with dirt under its nails. I don’t care about clout. I care about impact. And really, it’s for me, not for anyone else.

ChiodoSupply [📷: ChiodoSupply]Everybody is influenced by somebody else. Who would you consider some of your biggest musical influences, and how are they influential?

Bad Religion gave me my backbone, Tom Waits gave me my storytelling, and Mr Chi Pig reminded me it’s okay to bleed on the page. There’s something beautiful about that intersection of rebellion and vulnerability. That’s the corner I set up shop on.

Ah, the fun stuff.  What’s your craziest tour story or the wackiest thing that’s happened during a performance?  Feel free to be creative.

One time, the power went out mid-set, and instead of panicking, I lit a joint, grabbed my acoustic, and kept playing in the dark. A dozen strangers lit up Zippos and held them out like it was a damn seance. By the end, people were crying. No encore, no merch, just one of those nights that feels like a secret between you and the room. Magic. But I still woke up broke, so…

To this point in your career, what would you describe as your favorite song you’ve recorded or performed live? What makes that song special?

“Broken” off my debut solo record, 1919. That song’s not just a track, it’s a damn scar. It’s about generational pain, addiction, loss, love, family, and survival. Every time I play it live, it shuts the room down. I get choked up. It’s just about the loss and heartache we will all inevitably experience over a lifetime.

Is there anything else awesome, cool, or left-of-center we should know about you? Secret talents or surprising tidbits?

I  have a small farm where I raise goats, pigs, chickens… it really is cheaper than therapy. I am also an online political activist where I still get to show my pissed off side.

ChiodoSupply [📷: ChiodoSupply]What are you currently working on or promoting that you can share? We love secrets, but there’s no pressure.

I am working on my 2nd ChiodoSupply album now and am about halfway through that. But I also see myself putting out a punk rock record soon, too. I am just going to keep creating, otherwise, I’ll go crazy in this insane world we live in.

Thank you so much for sharing and taking the time to answer these questions, and best of luck moving forward.
