Grammy-nominated Swedish EDM duo Galantis, assisted by pop singer MAX, delivers a dance-pop single ready-made for the summer with “Satisfied.”
“The second the Galantis guys sent me this song I was OBSESSED! It’s an energy that we both share and are so in love with and their production is just out of this world. I’m honored to be the voice on such a magnificent summer jam!” That always a good sign when the guest artist, MAX, is feeling the song he’s singing on. Grammy-nominated EDM production, songwriting, and DJ duo Galantis (Christian Karlsson and Linus Eklöw) also beam when discussing their hot single, “Satisfied.”
“We love this song! It is a true testament to Galantis’ ambition and drive to find that fresh, feel good music and continue to expand the Galantis soundscape on all levels! On top of that, MAX delivered a piece of pure vocal magic that we just could not resist. Put your dancing shoes on folks! Let’s go! :D”
Speaking of MAX (Max Schneider), the rising pop star from New York has been on fire lately, dropping singles with Noah Cyrus (“Team”) as well as his own with Joey Bada$$ (“Still New York”). Safe to say, Christian, Linus, and MAX kill it on “Satisfied.”
From the start, “Satisfied” possesses a hella groovy, funky beat. This is definitely a catalyst for some serious dancing. Besides the killer beat, the bass line is incredibly active and robust. Those awesome production touches are great for creating sexy vibes. Thankfully, they are truly sexy without unnecessarily crossing any lines. Just like his quote suggests, MAX delivers enthusiastic, jubilant vocals; his energy is infectious from the jump. Notably, he serves up mad falsetto on the memorable pre-chorus.
“I know that I’m impatient / My imagination’s wandering and running wild / Can you hear that? / My heart is racing, you keep up the pace / Then I might let you stay the night.”
Thoughtfully, Galantis delivers a sick production contrast on the chorus, which leads into the break section/ post-chorus.
“I need somebody, body / their hands on my body, body / You could be that somebody, body / Keep me satisfied…”
During this section, the rhythmic guitars sound terrific, popping right out of the production in a pronounced fashion.
Final Thoughts
Honestly, there’s nothing much more to say about “Satisfied” besides the fact that it’s an absolutely awesome dance-pop joint. Galantis and MAX outdo themselves. They have every reason to be thrilled about this one. Dance on brothers, dance on!
