ring on the braggadocio, drip, sex, and kick-a$$ery – is that even a real word?  Regardless of whether it is or isn’t, you’ve entered Rap BNGRZ territory! On Rap BNGRZ (bangers, spelled properly), the premise is simple and like other columns gracing The Musical Hype (Outlandish Rock is its rock brotha from a different motha). BNGRZ provides background info and commentary on cocky, confident, ferocious hip-hop/rap songs. The bangers featured on BNGRZ can be brand-spanking-new or certified classics. On the 15^th edition of Rap BNGRZ (2022), we break down the banger status of “For a Nut” performed by Future featuring Gunna and Young Thug.

Theme & Lyrics  

“I can boss a bitch up for a nut.” Wow Future, wow! He adds, “That lil’ bitty watch, it wasn’t nothin’.” Okay Pluto, now you’ve gone to bragging! Safe to say, he’s brutally honest on “For a Nut” which appears on his 2022 album, I Never Liked You.  The Grammy-winning rapper gets assists from Gunna and Young Thug.  Man, do those three make a formidable team! As you’d expect, “For a Nut” is a surefire banger.  Banging production by ATL Jacob gives all three rappers hella inspiration.

Following the chorus by Future, Gunna performs the first verse. Drip plays a big role, as does sex.  “She ripped my Dior shirt ‘cause it had nut stains,” he asserts, adding “Love how she slurp, I put two carat in her lip ring.” Woo! Also, you can’t help but giggle as he spits, “Tuesday taco (Taco), Wednesday Cabo (Yeah).” Future takes over the reins in the second verse, referencing a “Birkin Bag, crocodile sandals / Emilio Pucci pajamas.” Besides the drip, he gets filthy too: “Go lurk for it, clutchin’ a banana (Woo) / Got monkey nuts, spray shit on camera (Pluto).”  Of course, they saved the best for last with Young Thug.  His best line is “I just put some diamonds in her butt (Butt) / And I seen it shinin’ when she nut (Nut).” Use your imagination there, of course.  He doesn’t stop there, asserting, “She just ate cum, we in Hong Kong (Woo).” Okay…

Final Thoughts

There’s not an ounce of substance behind “For a Nut”.  That’s perfectly fine.  “For a Nut” is a banger that could’ve easily graced After Dark given its sexual references.  We opted to recognize it as a Rap BNGRZ given the slick production work and confident, cocky performances from Future, Gunna, and Young Thug. “For a Nut” is something else!
