Freya Alley Is Back With ‘Big Wild World’

F
reya Alley is back with her most spine-tingling track to date ‘Big Wild World‘. The release is a testament to the singers’ unremarkable character. Also, still relatively new on the scene, Freya arrives with a quality comparable to many who have decades more experience under the hood. The tone within Freya’s vocal is unconventional, and her approach to dark pop is exhilarating. She also delves deep into pop’s mythical world with an epic vocal journey that leaves the hair standing up on the neck’s back.
The piano is grand, and it accompanies Freya for the majority of the piece. It brings a frightening effect with its cinematic spirit oozing out of the mix. Additionally, the eclectic range of sounds that appear as it moves forward satisfies the listeners’ needs, plucking at the heartstrings gradually.
Musically, ‘Big Wild World‘ is endlessly-playable. It never gets dull, despite its solemn vibe. Also, it picks up big time towards the closing stage with the drums eventually appearing. Do they take too long to arrive? Potentially, but the piece is more than just a pop track, it is more like a mini film through music. As a result, the story unfolds, and the drums arrive when Freya is ready to spread her wings.
So, is Freya becoming the trail-blazer of modern pop? She is not afraid to try something new, and she demonstrates that she can be massively versatile as a musician. However, her sounds do still sound somewhat similar to other artists in this space. Nevertheless, she pulls off a surprise here, and her heart-felt vocal gives her a unique selling point that is irresistible.
Overall, ‘Big Wild World‘ is a track to get lost in, and it is potentially the singers most compelling release to date.
