French Montana, "Twisted" (Ft. Juicy J, Logic & A$AP Rocky) [Photo Credit: Epic]Rappers French Montana and Juicy J, assisted by Logic and a select few lines courtesy of A$AP Rocky, drop one of the worst songs of 2019 with “Twisted.”

You would think the combination of French Montana, Juicy J, Logic, and A$AP Rocky would yield a surefire banger.  Think again! These four rappers, who have had their share of respectable moments (yes, including French Montana with “Pop That”), come up with an absolute dud with “Twisted.” This is hot garbage, and arguably, that’s being far too kind.

Juicy J handles the production work, which is okay, but quite repetitive and doesn’t take “Twisted” to the next level. Of course, the production is the least of the problems with “Twisted.” The content is absolute total GARBAGE. Honestly, things start off pretty shitty with the intro by French Montana, who drops the hook line, “Twisted off the juice” more times than anybody needed to hear.  Then, we, the unfortunate listeners, have to hear one of the weakest, ‘wackest,’ and laziest choruses of the year.  The extent of this ‘hell on earth’ is “Dance like you dancin’ on a pole,” “Twisted off the juice” (ugh), and “Fuck with Montana, bitch, that’s my nigga.” To quote Amy Winehouse, “What kind of fuckery is this?”.

Pardon my French but shit only gets worse – this is some total stank.  French Montana, trading bars with Juicy J, continues to deliver subpar bars on the verse.  It’s all about drip and sex, yet, neither rapper ‘brings the heat.’  In essence, they are saying absolutely NOTHING.  After being forced to listen to that godawful hook once more, apparently, Logic caught whatever bug French Montana and Juicy J did because he also drops the ball completely.  Besides ‘feeling himself’ a little too much (“I’m finna floor, I’m finna catch a flow, like ‘Woah’” and “Bitches call me Bobby Tarantino”), he totally ruins his Grammy-nominated smash “1-800-273-8255”: “‘1-800’,’ then kill the pussy, who can relate?”  Um, Logic, what the actual… And of course, with Juicy J producing and attempting to rap, Logic has to pay ode:

“Word to Triple-6, suck on up my dick
Slob on my knob, girl you’re beautiful, that’s word to God
Goddamn, I’m the man, do it ‘cause I can.”

Final Thoughts

If I didn’t make it crystal clear, “Twisted” is absolute garbage. All four of these rappers have done better, and A$AP Rocky likely made the right choice not to drop a verse.  He’s very sparingly used, and honestly, he probably regrets that his name is associated in any sort of way with this mess.
