Rapper Flo Milli is confident, unapologetic, and most of all, “Conceited” on her short and simple, but ultimately enjoyable single.
“F
eelin’ myself, I’m conceited.” WOO! Well, at leastFlo Milli has a natural voice for rap, something I’ve picked up on every time I’ve heard her. On “Conceited,” she doesn’t serve up anything new or particularly innovative when it comes to her rhymes. That said, as she raps, she’s aggressive and confident, and you buy what she’s selling, clichés or not. “Long-ass weave flow down my back / I want a pitcher wit’ a baseball ball.” Woo! Batter, batter, batter SWINGGG!!! She doesn’t stop there, asserting near the end of the first verse, “Put your ear on my coochie, hear this ocean sound (Uh) / (I fuck once) Boy, you old dick now.” The second verse is more of the same, with no shortage of bitches – the word, bitch – coming out of her mouth (“Smack a lil’ bitch, ho, you a gnat (You a gnat, bitch) / Bitch get jealous when I do it like that ”).
Final Thoughts
Does Flo Milli change the world with
“Conceited”? No. She doesn’t change or flip the rap game upside down either. Still, this is an enjoyable single, even if there’s ‘not much to it’ beyond the tried and tried, ‘I’m a bad bitch’ sentiment. It’s cute, even if it’s nowhere near being transcendent. Worth playing.
