Eminem, Killshot [Photo Credit: Aftermath]Following the release of the Machine Gun Kelly diss track “Rap Devil,” Eminem responds boldly, destroying the rapper on the diss track, “KILLSHOT.”

“…So just leave my dick in your mouth and keep my daughter out of it.” Oh geez… When reviewing the unfortunate Machine Gun Kelly diss track “Rap Devil”, I made the comment that “While The diss has its moments, it naturally left plenty of ammunition for Eminem to kick his ass. See ‘KILLSHOT’.” Well friends, Eminem did just that on his response to the Cleveland rapper. Let’s analyze it.

Stan, Stan, son, listen, man, Dad isn’t mad / But how you gonna name yourself after a damn gun / And have a man-bun?” Eminem references Machine Gun Kelly’s lyrics from “Rap Devil” on the intro (mockingly), the first sign he’s about to absolutely destroy him. Naturally, throughout the sole lengthy verse, he uses Machine Gun Kelly’s lines against him.  Before diving into those lines, it should be noted that Eminem delivers some interesting flows, some quicker and others choppier and more broken up.  Regardless, he has plenty of notable shots towards MGK.

“But I’m 45 and I’m still outselling you / By 29, I had three albums that had blew.”  Yeah, it’s petty AF, but Eminem is telling the truth.  Age continues to factor in as he spits, “Younger me? No, you’re the wack me, it’s funny but so true / I’d rather be 80-year -old me than 20-year-old you.” Later, remaining petty, he also makes an accurate assertion:

“My biggest flops are your greatest hits

The game’s mine again and ain’t nothin’ changed but the locks

So, before I slay this bitch I, mwah, give Jade a kiss.”

The lyrics are cold mind you, but, even less critically and commercial successful albums by Eminem outsell a number of other artists, with Machine Gun Kelly included.  Continuing to bite back, he seems obsessed with references to penises… not particularly shocking given a career of the outlandish and unapologetic. He says, “You look up to me and for the record / You would suck a dick to fuckin’ be me for a second / Lick a ball-sack to get on my channel.” Wow.  It gets even more ‘phallic’:

“I’m sick of your mumble rap mouth

Need to get the cock up out of it

Before we can even talk about it

I’m sick of your blonde hair and earrings

Just ‘cause you look in the mirror and think

That you’re Marshall Mathers…

So just leave my dick in your mouth and keep my daughter out of it.”

Yeah, what can you really say to that.  One of the more eyebrow-raising lyrics besides all the dick references involve MGK’s boss – Diddy. Eminem raps:

“Killshot, I will not fail, I’m with the Doc still

But this idiot’s boss pops pills and tells him he’s got skills

But, Kells, the day you put out a hit’s the day Diddy admits

That he put the hit out that got Pac killed, ah!”

Final Thoughts

Who wins the diss tracks – Machine Gun Kelly or Eminem? It’s not even close.  “KILLSHOT” isn’t necessarily a classic, elite record by the rapper, but, he definitely shutdown MGK.  Again, why did MGK bother to respond?
