Those words are essential from Grammy-winning pop singer/songwriter Dua Lipa in “Falling Forever”. “Falling Forever” is the eighth track from her underrated third studio album, Radical Optimism. Dua Lipa penned this superb song with Emily Warren, Caroline Ailin, Ali Tamposi, and producers Danny L Harle and Ian Kirkpatrick.  From the beginning, she serves up powerful vocals.  She remains high-flying throughout.  “They say you got it, then it’s gone / I don’t believe that every flame has to get colder,” she asserts in the first verse, and continues, “I hope the feelings that you give me carry over / Till tomorrow and beyond.” Clearly, Dua Lipa has forever on her mind!

In the second verse, which is shorter, Dua Lipa is in the same mindset. “And eternity’s impossible to measure,” she sings, and concludes, “But it feels right where we are.” Word. The chorus is the crème de la crème – the crowning achievement:

The bridge distinguishes itself in sound from the verses and chorus. Still, the theme is connected as Dua Lipa wants to know, “Can you ride through any storm? / Can you ride from night till dawn? Till tomorrow and beyond.” Well, can you, boy? “Falling Forever” is a treat – a surefire vibe.  Beyond the awesome, commanding vocals of Dua Lipa, memorable lyrics, and tuneful melodies, “Forever” features a sickening groove and a colorful, strong musical accompaniment.  Can you ever go wrong with pummeling drums, and decadent keys and synths? It’s rhetorical, by the way!
