•SIPAUL captivates on his latest release, “It’s No Good.” Furthermore, the British electronic producer and experimental songwriter catapults himself out of the underground, and he brings vocalist, Freya Alley on the journey also.It all gets underway with a sturdy opener. Furthermore, a synth fastens itself to the beat, and both rise to the top of the mix with almighty flavour. The instrumental then pushes forward with vitality, and it makes for the perfect driving anthem, so much so it would not surprise me to see a driving game pick this up for its credits.
Freya Alley then arrives with top quality. Her passion oozes out of her every word. Also, she takes us on an adventure with a lyricism which is difficult to criticize. Freya sings a message about incongruency with a lover. She explains that it is no good for someone to tell them words; instead, she wants to see action, and her message is relatable from the get-go.
As the track progresses, the direction changes which I enjoy. As a result, it never becomes monotonous with the vibe often switching. Also, towards the closing stage, we hear an outro which cements itself deep. So much so, I keep finding myself coming back to it to get another fix.
Overall, ‘It’s No Good‘ charms with quality. Likewise not only does it provide a soundscape like no other but it leaves an indent with an electronic direction which comes just that little different. Therefore, if you are seeking the freshest electronic sounds, then this one is for you.
Four out of five – George James.
