Hit-making French DJ/record producer DJ Snake returns with a groovy, hyper-rhythmic, irresistible joint, “Magenta Riddim.”
DJ Snake is back with a hot one! The 31-year old French DJ/record producer has had his share of hits over the years. Among those hits is “Let Me Love You” (with Justin Bieber), “Turn Down for What (with Lil Jon), and “Lean On” (with Major Lazer featuring MØ). That’s a pretty sick collection, if I do say so myself. Snake is always good for a groovy, hyper-rhythmic listening experience, sigh. Once more, on “Magenta Riddim,” the ‘slithering’ DJ doesn’t disappoint.
In the case of “Magenta Riddim,” prepare to dance your @$$ off. Essentially, “Magenta Riddim” is one gargantuan loop. The sound mixes Jamaican and Middle eastern flare marvelously. To be fair, there is some variation, albeit it subtle and still centered around one chord. Ultimately, however, once you hear the initial statement by Snake, the entire deck of cards has been revealed. In some cases, this would be absolutely too predictable and boring. In the case of “Magenta Riddim,” the riddim is absolutely, positively, too doggone infectious to possibly resist.
Final Thoughts
As aforementioned, DJ Snake doesn’t disappoint on “Magenta Riddim.” The groove is just too much to possibly resist in the least – the minute it commences, you’ll be dancing. Additionally, working with an excellent sound palette, Snake has a record that’ll light up the clubs from day one – rather, night one.
