Dixon Dallas, Good Lookin’ [📷: Dixon Dallas]The talented iamjakehill, as his alter ego, country singer Dixon Dallas, shocks the world with his entertaining, gay country song, “Good Lookin’.”

“Ikiss him on his neck and then he kisses on my bussy.” Hold up, say what?! Just in case you’re unfamiliar with gay slang, bussy – the combination of boy and pussy – refers to a man’s anus… For some, that may be a lot to take in on the innocently titled country song, 🎵 “Good Lookin’” by 🎙 Dixon Dallas. Of course, dig deeper 😬 – or just listen to the lyrics – and it’s clear Mr. Dallas has given us a NSFW, gay country song.  Also, it should be noted, Dixon Dallas is an alter ego of the talented 🎙 iamjakehill, who has previously shocked the world with his queer pop-punk song, 🎵 “Keep Riding Me” as 🎙 ur pretty. So, what does one make of “Good Lookin’”? Is it merely entertaining and somewhat titillating, or is it queer baiting?

Dixon Dallas, Good Lookin’ [📷: Dixon Dallas]Focusing on the song outside of the social aspects, it fits the mold of country save for the queerness. Dixon Dallas sounds idiomatic of the genre, embracing twang and that truly southern sound.  It’s not far-fetched for iamjakehill considering he’s from the deep south – Alabama. Anyways, he nails the aesthetic.  Furthermore, instrumentally, nothing would make you believe “Good Lookin’” is anything other than a traditional country record.  It’s the lyrics that make “Good Lookin’” progressive in a genre that avoids social progressiveness. The first verse plays it straight – sorry – couldn’t resist! But the chorus – that’s where the bussy comes in!

“He’s bouncing off my booty cheeks, I love the way he rides

I can hardly breathe when he’s pumping deep inside

I kiss him on his neck and then he kisses on my bussy

Call him ‘Daddy’ while I holler, man, that boy so damn good looking.”

So, again, I ask, what do we make of this 🎦 Brokeback Mountain country record?  Is it giving more 🎵 “All American Boy” (🎙 Steven Grand) or is it mere comedy, queer baiting, and shock value? Depending on who you are, you can be the judge of that. As a song though, it’s a vibe.
