David Guetta & Sia, "Lets Love" [Photo Credit: Warner Music France]David Guetta and Sia Furler team up and push hard for ‘love’ on the enjoyable, vibe-laden single, “Let’s Love.”

“Let’s love, let’s love / And we’ll get through it all together.” David Guetta and Sia want us to do just one thing – LOVE.  Honestly, I couldn’t agree more.  The resulting collaboration on “Let’s Love,” hence is inspired by something the world truly needs more of. At 3:20, Guetta and Furler provide us with a record that’s just right – not too short and not too long. Sia of course handles songwriting duties, with Guetta, Giorgio Tuinfort and Marcus van Wattum appearing as writers and producers. Both the lyrics and music are pretty sweet.

“Let’s Love” commences with a grand intro boasting ample energy – that’s the way you commence a song! I love the driving groove the follows the intro. The production, as praised above, has an 80s vibe. The keyboard and synth work are awesome.  Adding to the allure are expressive vocals by Sia, as always. Her bread may be buttered with her songwriting abilities, but vocally, she’s terrific as well.

The form is straightforward, with ample sections: verse, pre-chorus, chorus, and post-chorus. Notably, the verses are very short – perhaps too short, particularly the second verse. The pre-chorus hits you quick! The best sections are the catchy chorus (below) and the post-chorus (excerpted above).

“So take my hand, don't be afraid
This too shall pass, this too shall pass
And we’ll get through it all together
We’ll get through it all together
I swear you’re safe
This too shall pass, this too shall pass
This too shall pass
And we’ll get through it all together
We’ll get through it all together.”

Final Thoughts

All in all, “Let’s Love” is a vibe.  Will David Guetta and Sia change your lives on this 80s inspired dance cut? Probably not, but you’ll certainly be blessed with some sweet, decadent ear candy.
