Dave Kalz, Flying High | Track Review

ave Kalz is a blues-rock trooper who never fails to deliver. In addition, he never does anything half-heartedly, and his new album showcases his undeniable talent.

His most recent single, “Flying High“, from his upcoming album “Relish“, is already a fan favourite. It exemplifies Dave Kalz’s style, an excellent old-fashioned rock & roll with a bluesy texture that grabs you like a tiger.

The new tune begins with a swinging guitar rhythm that moves across the mix. Similarly, a nail-biting drum rhythm leads the way forward until Kalz delivers a powerful verse. His vocals smash through the compound with a voice effect that sounds like someone speaking over a subway tannoy system, and he hits the mix with ease. He does, however, allow his characteristic tones to cut through the mix, and Dave’s innovative technique adds a new and pioneering layer to the mix.

The guitar hooks melt the speakers with glee as the song progresses, and Dave’s solo achieves a new class level. The warm bluesy guitar’s rhythm cadence adds to the flavour of the mix, and wherever you concentrate on the song, you’ll leave with treasure lodged in your spirit.

“Flying High” is the second single from Dave Kalz’s new album, “Relish“, which also includes the critically acclaimed “Mexico”. On June 25th, ‘Relish’ will be released.
