DaBaby "No Dribble" (with Stunna 4 Vegas) [Photo Credit: Interscope]Grammy-nominated rapper DaBaby keeps it simple and devoid of depth on his banger, “No Dribble.” He taps Stunna 4 Vegas for the assist.

The bangers never seem to stop for DaBaby.  Early during his career, he’s on fire. Sure, you can question the quality of his music, particularly the longevity, but right now, he’s ‘on.’ “No Dribble” appears on the deluxe edition of Blame it on Baby.  Here, he’s assisted by Stunna 4 Vegas.

The wheel is not reinvented in the least on “No Dribble.” Transcendence can’t be found nor should it be expected.  This is a banger and nothing more.  SVNDS and Retro Future give DaBaby, well, bangin’ production for this banger.  He sets the tone with the tough chorus, filled with his usual acrobatic, agile rhymes. His confidence is through the roof. If nothing else, we’re blessed with an ample dose of masculinity with the rapper’s deep vocals:

“I’ma shot at a n***a, no dribble
I pull up with two-hundred bows in my rental
They was already sold when I sent ‘em
Take a backwood, I put strong in the middle...”

After the chorus, we get a verse characterized by sex and drip.  As usual, DaBaby talks about his dick and how it will be serviced – “Make a TikTok on the dick, she official.” My, oh my! Stunna 4 Vegas devotes his energy to violence and sex mostly.  There’s nothing particularly charming about “We fill him with lead, he a pencil,” lol.  That said, Stunna might have the best line of the whole song when he raps, “I swing that stick like Wayne Gretzky.” Of course, we’re not talking about a hockey stick, but rather the ‘D,” which he “put…on her then hit her bestie.”

Final Thoughts

Ultimately, “No Dribble” is successful in its endeavors, which aim low. Right now, aiming low for DaBaby is working, period.  Will there be a day that a record as basic as this one won’t rack up the streams? Of course, but for now, ‘it’s not brought, so no need to fix it.’
