Zayn, Mind Of Mine © RCAZayn takes his debut solo album, Mind of Mine to no. 1 on the Billboard 200. K. Michelle launches at no. 2 with More Issues Than Vogue.

In another so-so week, Zayn Malik is clearly the star of the show. The next closest star is K. Michelle, but don’t call her – rather her numbers the Prima Donna. In this chart takeaways dated April 16, 2016, there’s few that aren’t the casualty of lackadaisical sales/impact – just being honest!!!

1. ZAYN easily takes the top honors on the Billboard 200. Mind Of Mine gave the former One Direction member his first no. 1 album as a solo artist.

2. The always-feisty K. Michelle sees her third album More Issues Than Vogue debut at no. 2, definitely great for an R&B album.

3. Young Thug takes Slime Season 3 to no. 7 on the Billboard 200. Nothing too ‘slimy’ about those numbers for a low-key release – a mixtape at that!

4. Asking Alexandria earns the final new debut in the top 10. The Black enters at no. 9.

5. Joe Bonamassa sees his Blues of Desperation score a no. 12 bow. Yep, not so desperate Joe!

6. Anthony Hamilton once more settles for the top 20 as opposed to earning a top 10 berth. What I’m Feelin’ debuts at no. 15. Hamilton has never debuted higher than 12th (Back To Love back in 2012).

7. “No acting” for Sia as This Is Acting sees a 20-spot spike from no. 36 to no. 16 in week nine.

8. Gwen Stefani’s This Is What The Truth Feels Like takes a mighty tumble from no. 1 to no. 17. #Damn Gwen!

9. Joey + Rory leave the top 10 for the first time since Hymns bowed in February. This week, the set slips from no. 10 to no 18.

10. Amon Amarth earns the final top 20 debut. Jomsviking lands at no. 19.

11. Speaking of horrid second weeks, Jordan Smith had one as Something Beautiful definitely didn’t have ‘beauty’ working on its side this week. The set slides from no. 2 to no. 24 in week two.

12. Kendrick Lamar’s Untitled Unmastered continues its slide, this week from no. 16 to no. 34. Maybe his performance of “Levitate” will reinvigorate interests?

13. Melanie Martinez has spent 33 weeks on the Billboard 200 with Cry Baby. This week, the set improves from no. 53 to no. 41.

14. Unsurprising, The Passion: New Orleans, Music From the Television Event free falls from no. 8 to no. 45. Again, this was TOTALLY EXPECTED.

15. Jeremih’s Late Nights: The Album hasn’t exactly lit up the charts, but it does see a spike this week to the tune of 11 spots (no. 57 to no. 46).

16. Metal Church’s XI debuts modesty at no. 57. Apparently, only a few members of the congregation decided to attend…

17. Birdy sees her Beautiful Lies fall flat at no. 68…just saying!

18. Ah, the “struggle” is real for Jaheim! Struggle Love slid 61 spots from no. 24 to no. 85. Sadly, more folks didn’t partake of “Songs To Have Sex To.”

19. This week, folks indeed “Cut the Cord” on ShinedownThreat To Survival drops 40 spots from no 58 to no. 98.

20. Domo Genesis debuts on the Billboard 200. That’s the good news. The bad news – his numbers suck…BADLY! Genesis is born at no. 110…seems blasphemous, doesn’t it?

21. Kane Brown’s Chapter I (EP) looks like it may be his last…well, considering it’s epic fall from no. 9 to no. 111. How does that even happen?

22. dvsn, one of Drake’s signees, like Domo Genesis, debut on the Billboard 200. Unfortunately, the results are even more tepid! Sept. 5th won’t last until then at this rate, bowing at no. 133.

23. Gospel artist Bri (Briana Babineaux) sees her Keys To My Heart unleash at no 138. Yep, killing it!

24. Killswitch Engage has spent three weeks on the Billboard 200 with Incarnate. So what do those numbers look like? Oh no. 6, no. 70, and this week, no. 157. Phew!!!

25. How are those Flatbush Zombies doing? Awful! 3001: A Laced Odyssey sits at no. 197 in week three. It debuted at no. 10!
