elly Brightwell and Woody Moran’s collaboration under the name Brightwell And Moran has garnered a significant amount of acclaim. They are formidable on their own. But, when they work together, they are unstoppable. This is demonstrated by their most recent release, β€œBare Boards’, which was co-released by Talent Is Timeless and Jam Records London.

When Kelly, primarily known for her work in the Americana genre, combines her irresistible vocal touch with that of folk-rock maestro Woody Moran, an original and unforgettable sound is produced. This new release strengthens their earlier prototype, which was released many years ago, but this time around it has a whole new burst of life as a result of extra instruments and a top-notch recording that was laid down at Abbey Road studios in London.

Although this is merely conjecture based on our interpretation of the lyrics, β€˜Bare Boardsβ€˜ gives the impression of being about the process of forming a family only to have it broken up in the end. More than that, the story talks about putting a hammer to a nail and strengthening one’s own immediate circle, but suddenly everything gets torn apart; may there be difficulties in this love?

The song has a folky-rock driven core. Also, it features a guitar hook that embeds itself deep into the mix. Musically, the song has a lot to offer. The track is propelled forward by an arrangement featuring a violin in the introduction. It is then followed by a salient vocal delivery from Kelly. At first, it is unclear whether it is going to be a solo effort by Kelly. However, Woody quickly appears on the microphone to offer further depth.
