The Chainsmokers – had a big week on the Billboard 200.  Despite tepid reviews for Memories…Do Not Open, the album debuts robustly at no. 1, moving 221,000 units according to Billboard.  Besides the arrival of The Chainsmokers, some more newbies chart on the Billboard 200 this week, including Pentatonix, Joey Bada$$, and Father John Misty. Hence, there are many takeaways from the Billboard 200 dated April 29, 2017.

  1. The Chainsmokers come-up. Alex and Drew take Memories…Do Not Open to no. 1 on the Billboard 200. Collage (EP) sees a slight bump from no. 41 to no. 37 in its 23rd week.

 

  1. The Chainsmokers knock off Drake, who sees More Life slip to no. 2 after two weeks at no. 1.
