Bhad Bhabie, I Got It © B.H.A.D. MusicTroubled 14-year old Danielle Bregoli, reborn as rapper Bhad Bhabie, drops her fourth single, “I Got It.”  The results are once again, mixed.

Bhad Bhabie is back…unfortunately. Sometimes, it’s easy to lose faith in the music industry.  New artists come along – some out of nowhere – and you ask yourself, ‘why?’ That’s sort of the situation with troubled 14-year-old Danielle Bregoli, better known now as Bhad Bhabie.  Thanks to the power that be virally, Bregoli could strike it rich, musical quality aside.  After releasing three singles – “These Heaux,” “Hi Bich,” and “Whachu Know” – she returns with a fourth, “I Got It.”

Like previous singles, the biggest selling point is the production work.  It’s your typical, sleek, trap-oriented sound, intact with hard drums, slick synths, and set in a minor key.  It’s nothing brand new, but the malicious, menacing sound is appreciated.  To her credit, Bhad Bhabie has made energy – her feisty, unapologetic attitude shouldn’t go without some praise.  She definitely showcases some toughness.

But, like her other singles, there are cons.  The overall concept is simple and shallow, bringing nothing truly fresh or game changing. While the hook is enjoyable enough, it only goes so far.  That, hence, has been the biggest rub against the young rapper as of yet.

Final Thoughts

All in all, “I Got It” is okay, but “nothing to write home about.”  The attitude and energy showcased by Bhad Bhabie shouldn’t be ignored.  Still, what does Danielle Bregoli bring to the rap game, particularly the female rap game, that hasn’t already been done? To this point, very little.  Would I listen to this again? Wouldn’t be my go-to choice, but “never say never.”
