After a four-year hiatus, Frank Ocean has returned to the musical fold in a big way. This week, Ocean’s Blonde was the runaway no. 1 album. There was No doubt about it from the urban alternative singer/songwriter. As impressive as Ocean’s numbers are – not to mention how intriguing the album is in itself – there are more noteworthy chart stories as well on the Billboard 200 dated September 10, 2016.

- Guess who sits no. 2? Drake (Views) has kept the no. 2 spot warm for four consecutive weeks now.
- Suicide Squad: The Album relinquishes the no. 1 spot after holding it for two consecutive weeks. This week, the soundtrack slips to no. 3.
- Tory Lanez scores the week’s second highest debut with I Told You at no. 4. Compared the numbers with Frank Ocean’s Blonde and it’s a big gap between both albums.
- Lindsey Stirling earns another top-five album (no. 5) with Brave Enough.
- Amazingly, DJ Khaled retains a spot in the top 10 at no. 9. Major Key debuted at no. 1 and has spent four weeks in the top 10.
- Dolly Parton just misses the top 10 with latest album Pure & Simple. She settles for a no. 11 start.
- Beyoncé sees Lemonade ascend two rungs from no. 15 to no. 13. Unfortunately, there isn’t a gain in impact.
- Sia sees a bump this week as This Is Acting improves from no. 20 to no. 16.
- DJ Snake spends a third week in the top 20 as Encore subtly improves in peak position (no. 18 to no. 17).
- Coldplay re-enters the top 20. A Head Full of Dreams ascends 20 spots from no. 40 to no. 20 in its 38th charting week.
- Charlie Puth gets a bump as Nine Track Mind ascends 13 spots from no. 34 to no. 21. Nine Track Mind has charted for 30 weeks, debuting at no. 6.
- After debuting last week at no. 3, PARTYNEXTDOOR finds himself clinging on to a spot in the top-25. PARTYNEXTDOOR3 (P3) slides to no. 25 in its sophomore week.
- Frank Ocean sees his Grammy-winning debut album Channel Orange improve 115 spots (no. 142 to no. 27).
- The crappiness of the sophomore week extends to Rae Sremmurd. Sophomore album SremmLife 2 slips from no. 7 to no. 28.
