Babbie Mason, God Will Open Up the Windows | Music Lifts 🎶 🏋

In the 8^th edition of Music Lifts (2024), we’re uplifted by Babbie Mason performing, “God Will Open Up the Windows.”

Welcome to Music Lifts 🎶 🏋, a column that seeks to highlight songs that encourage, inspire, and uplift the spirit; songs that exude fortitude, positivity, and resolve, even in the face of adversity.  Featured songs aren’t genre-specific; songs may or may not be faith-based. The goal is for these songs to make you feel better – be LIFTED to new heights!  So, for the 8^th edition of Music Lifts 🎶 🏋 (2024), we highlight “God Will Open Up the Windows” as performed by Babbie Mason.

“God will open / Open up the windows of heaven, and / Pour you out a blessing.” Isn’t that good news? Babbie Mason, the gifted singer and songwriter of “God Will Open Up the Windows”, continues singing, “And you will not have the room / Not because of you, but because He’s good / You will not have the room to receive it.” Ooh-wee! The chorus is by far the most memorable portion of this faith-based, gospel record.  Even so, the verses provide awesome, meaningful messages too. Of course, Mason sings marvelously – filled with grit, soul, and giving all the honor and glory to God!

In the first verse, Mason touts His greatness.  “Listen, let me tell you about the God I serve / How He keeps on blessing me,” she sings, adding, “He’ll still be worth of all my praise / If He didn’t do another thing.” So, basically, if God did nothing more for her, because He’s been so good, loving, and merciful, He still deserves all the praise.  Mason goes on to cite the great things he’s done, including being “in the land of the living for one more day.” The second verse is similar, as Babbie reminds us of all the wonderful things God has done: “He put clothes on your back and food on your table  / And supplied every one of your needs / So tell Him thank you.” All told, “God Will Open Up the Windows” is an epic song of praise – remembering how good God has been 🙌!
