live. Wow, I do feel 🎵“Alive” just from listening to the new release by 🎙 Ashley Lauren. So much so, I even woke up this morning with the melody circulating my brain. Is it contagious? It appears so, but you do not have to keep your distance with this delivery.

Power and energy flow from this release from the very start. It is probably why Ashley Lauren is on track to becoming the next household name in the pop genre. She has inspirational confidence, and her modern approach to music is refreshing, given that she comes just that little bit different.

Musically, “Alive” is a cocktail of all things fabulous in pop. It carries a structure which regularly switches in pace, and at times we get greeted with a giant compound of strength. Furthermore, the beat pushes forward with vigour and the piano arrangement catapults the emotions to the melting point with its gentle and serene quality.

As the track progresses, the mix gets bolder as does Ashley’s main vocal. So much so, once we head into the chorus, all the guns are blazing with intensity. Also, the chorus becomes the hook which cements itself deep with even a gospel vibe making it to the forefront of the mix. Following the gospel vibe even further, all the music stops, and all we hear is a clapping rhythm, similar to what you may expect in a church. It pulls us in, and I can only imagine how colossal it would sound live with the audience joining in.

After the short bridge near the latter, Ashley leaps forward for one final vocal push. She sings with her all and even the sternest of listeners will find it difficult to fault her performance.
