English singer, songwriter, and producer Artemas keeps the edgy, sensual vibes alive and well on his totally obsessed single, “Superstar.”
Anyways, on “superstar,” Artemas is accompanied by a bouncy, electro-tinged instrumental. This is the perfect backdrop, led by rhythmic synths and a hard-hitting, driving beat. Even if Artemas keeps things cool, the songwriting embraces frankness and sensuality, while the melodies, while simple, are catchy. “I’ve been thinking ‘bout your touch / Thinking ‘bout your skin, hold me close,” he sings in the first verse, and continues, “And how I need another hit / Need to taste your lips a little longer (Can you feel my heart beat?).” Oh, snap! He goes on to shock with lines like, “Cocaine off your body, so I’m sober now,” and “You choke me to the point where I can barely breathe, my love.” Damn. It wouldn’t be far-fetched to say that Artemas is obsessed with his superstar. By the end, “Superstar” grows more intense and bigger in sound. It’s appropriate given how much he longs for her. She’s his kryptonite… Once more, Artemas brings the goods. He remains an intriguing singer, songwriter, and producer.
