“How’d I find someone like you?” That is a good question, Anthony Russo.  The Midwestern-bred pop singer/songwriter shines on his dedicated single, “Someone Like You”.  Throughout “Someone Like You,” Russo is ‘head over heels’ for her – in awe.  Notably, he wrote and produced the three-minute song himself with solid, sound results. This song is more in an alternative, indie-pop style.

Here, he sings expressively in a nuanced fashion.  Beyond his tone being awesome, his songwriting is on point too.  The lyrics are honest and heartfelt.  In the first verse, he asserts, “Baby, you’re / So easy eyed / Like walking on water / You make my world stop every time.” Aww! In the third verse – perhaps outro is the best description – he sings, “I promise to hold you when you run out of strength.” Oh, the feels, the feels, the feels! While the song lacks a true chorus, it features the titular lyrics at the end of the first and second verses.  Revisiting the final verse/outro, Russo’s vocals are their most powerful and overt. That dedication is through the roof.  All in all, Russo serves up sheer excellence on “Someone Like You”. I’m buying stock, that’s for sure!
