If you are wondering, yes, Alex Isley is a member of the renowned Isley family.  Her father is guitar extraordinaire Ernie Isley.  Alex ‘brings the heat’ – sensual, midnight heat –  on her single, “Hands”. “Hands” is the fourth track from her 2025 EP, WHEN. “The sheets on my skin the only touch I’ve known,” she sings, beautifully and longingly in the first verse, continuing, “Nothing like the feeling that I left back home.” Oh, snap! Isley wrote “Hands” alongside Robert Debouse, Terrell “Tre” Roper, and Camper. Camper produced “Hands,” which beautifully captures a sensual R&B sound that dips into jazz and neo-soul.  The backdrop sounds like the bedroom with its romantic vibes and the sheer longing for touch.

“Out of reach, but you’re close enough / So at least I can see your face,” Alex sings in the pre-chorus, continuing, “But I’ll need to feel them on me / Pull me in to your embrace.” What does she want to feel on her? Those hands, of course! She’s experienced the touch of her sheets being away, but the touch of hands is special.  “With your hand / No silk, no satin, just touch me with your hands,” she sings in the chorus, adding, “I’ll hold on ‘til you hold me with your hands.” In the second verse, she provides more specifics, often steamy.  “Your palms and fingertips stimulate me,” she sings, adding, “Curves anticipating.” Oh, snap! Further titillating, there is caress, electricity, and being magnetic. Ooh-wee, it’s getting hot in here! In all truthfulness, Alex Isley keeps it classy on “Hands”,  never crossing the line or uttering a filthy word. But don’t get it twisted. This is a dynamic sex song – a must-have for the sex playlist.  She sings beautifully, the songwriting is memorable, and the production well-rounded.
