Pop musician Alan Dreezer delivers an utterly infectious synth pop single with “Equal,” set to appear on his forthcoming sophomore album.
Ask yourself this question. Are you in need of a good synth pop song in your life??? Well, if you are indeed in need of that infectious, utterly delicious style of track, look no further than 🎵 “Equal”! “Equal” arrives courtesy of Chelmsford Essex singer/songwriter 🎙 Alan Dreezer, who currently lives in Spain. At first, I found myself slightly skeptical, but guess what happened? After several listens, I found myself more and more hypnotized by this B-O-P that Dreezer serves up. “Equal” appears on Dreezer’s forthcoming sophomore album, 💿 HEALED.
“Equal” was written by Dreezer and 🎼✍ Benjamin Duggan. The writing is pretty sweet, and the message is definitely strong. Musically, one thing I never doubted from an initial listen is that awesome electro-pop groove from the jump. That drum programming is definitely #WINNING. Taking things a step further, there are plenty of excellent instrumental cues within the production. Besides the production, another consistent selling point are the colorful vocals by Dreezer. He’s expressive without ever over singing. Thumbs up. Other pros include a nice build-up on the pre-chorus leading to the centerpiece, the chorus. The chorus, of course, is king – hella enjoyable.
So, what was it that initially made me slightly skeptical? For all of the excellence aforementioned, nitpicking, it felt like the single could use just bit more finesse. After playing “Equal” on repeat multiple times, Alan has me H-O-O-K-E-D.
Final Thoughts 💭
Ultimately, “Equal” is a fabulous single that everyone needs to add to their listening rotation. Alan Dreezer does a lot of things incredibly well here – I’m onboard. “Equal” gives us great vocals, an infectious groove, nice messaging, and a great overall vibe and aesthetic. What more can you ask for other than the equality that Dreezer speaks of?
