Adam Lambert, Velvet [Photo Credits: More is More / EMPIRE]Spicing up Mad Monday with some awesome music, we look to Adam Lambert, who thrills us with โ€œRosesโ€ from his fourth studio album, Velvet. ย

Mad Monday serves as a marvelous means to start off a hectic, work week for many.ย  Monday is among the more hated days of the week, so letโ€™s spice it up with some music, shall we? Todayโ€™s Mad Monday (March 30, 2020), commences with the Adam Lambert song, โ€œRoses.โ€

On โ€œRoses,โ€ a highlight from his electrifying, โ€˜funked-out,โ€™ gem-of-a fourth studio album, Velvet, Adam Lambert collaborates with musical royalty โ€“ Nile Rodgers of Chic notoriety.ย  The resulting โ€œRosesโ€ is among the grooviest, most LIT records appearing on Velvet.ย  I love the restraint that Lambert shows on the verses and pre-chorus, bringing more punch on yet another spot-on chorus. What is the maddening situation for Mr. Lambert? Why ROSES without emotions! ย Matters of the heart!

โ€œAnd all that I got was roses
Donโ€™t mean a thing without emotions
Baby, just do it right, focus
โ€˜Cause I just needed your love tonight, tonight, tonight.โ€

Basically, Lambert wants more of an emotional connection, so much so that on the second verse he asks, โ€œIs it love or are we just fuckinโ€™? / Tell me, baby, you canโ€™t keep me waiting.โ€ โ€œRosesโ€ is definitely a song that is made for Monday because of the sheer frustration that is experienced in the given situation and Monday in general, sigh.
