AC/DC Takes β€˜Power Up’ to No. 1: Scanning the Charts πŸ“‰ No. 23 [πŸ“·: Brent Faulkner, Leidseplein Presse B.V., The Musical Hype, Pexels, Pixabay]Scanning the Charts – Billboard 200 & Billboard Hot 100 (11/28/20): AC/DC launches at no. 1 on the Billboard 200 with Power Up

SCANNING THE CHARTS is just what it says it is.  I, the quirky founder and do-it-all at The Musical Hype scans through the Billboard Charts and picks out things that catch my eye.  To reiterate what I said last week ( πŸ“‰Ariana Grande Holds Down No. 1), this column won’t be extensive, but rather short and sweet, keeping that πŸ’© moving.  This week, I picked out FIVE notable observations πŸ”Ž from the Billboard 200, and FIVE observations πŸ”Ž from the Billboard Hot 100, with πŸŽ™ AC/DC launching at no. 1 spot on the Billboard 200 with πŸ’Ώ Power Up.

Billboard 200

AC/DC, Power Up [πŸ“· : Leidseplein Presse, B.V.]πŸ’ πŸŽ™ AC/DC is the big story on the charts this week. πŸ’Ώ Power Up bests the competition to take the top spot on the Billboard 200.  Rock on! πŸŽ™ Ariana Grande, meanwhile, slips ⬇ from no. 1 to no. 4  with πŸ’Ώ Positions.

πŸ’ Starting right behind the iconic Australian band at no. 2 is πŸ’Ώ Pluto x Baby Pluto, the highly anticipated collaboration by πŸŽ™ Future and πŸŽ™ Lil Uzi Vert.  In most weeks, a Future/Lil Uzi Vert project would secure no. 1, just saying!

πŸ’ πŸ† Grammy-award winner πŸŽ™ Chris Stapleton solidifies the brand-new top three with πŸ’Ώ Starting Over

πŸ’ The final top-10 debut arrives courtesy of πŸŽ™ YoungBoy Never Broke AgainπŸ’Ώ Until I Return starts at no. 10.

πŸ’ Some familiar names releasing new albums manage to miss the top-10.  πŸŽ™ 2 Chainz settles for a no. 15 start with πŸ’Ώ So Help Me God!  Also, πŸŽ™ Andrea Bocelli settles for no. 26 bow with his new album, πŸ’Ώ Believe.  Even πŸŽ™ Pentatonix underwhelm with the no. 30 launch of πŸ’Ώ We Need a Little Christmas.

Billboard Hot 100

24kgoldn, "Mood" [πŸ“· : Records Label / Columbia]πŸ’ There’s no reason for πŸŽ™ 24kGoldn or πŸŽ™ Iann Dior to be in a bad mood.  They continue to hold ↔ the no. 1 spot on the Hot 100 with 🎡 β€œMood.”

πŸ’ πŸ† Grammy winner πŸŽ™ Billie Eilish makes quite a leap up the Hot 100 as 🎡 β€œTherefore I Am” ascends ⬆ from no. 94 to no. 2.

πŸ’ πŸŽ™ Mariah Carey sees her former no. 1 hit, 🎡 β€œAll I Want for Christmas is You,” reenter the Hot 100 at no. 29.  It’s that time of year!

πŸ’ πŸ† Grammy winner πŸŽ™ Lil Nas X ushers in the holiday season with his own β€œHoliday” at no. 37.

πŸ’ πŸŽ™ Thomas Rhett debuts at no. 85 with β€œWhat’s Your Country Song”.
