SCANNING THE CHARTS is just what it says it is.  I, the quirky founder and do-it-all at The Musical Hype scans through the Billboard Charts and picks out things that catch my eye.  To reiterate what I said last week (πŸ“‰ Morgan Wallen Spends 2nd Week at the Top: Scanning the Charts πŸ“‰ No. 4), this column won’t be extensive, but rather short and sweet, keeping that πŸ’© moving.  This week, I picked out THREE  notable observations πŸ”Ž from the Billboard 200 πŸ“‰,  and THREE observations πŸ”Ž from the Billboard Hot 100 πŸ“‰, with πŸŽ™ Morgan Wallen spending a third week atop the Billboard 200 with πŸ’Ώ Dangerous: The Double Album.

Billboard 200 πŸ“‰

πŸ’ πŸŽ™ Morgan Wallen makes it a three-peat atop the Billboard 200 with his sophomore album, πŸ’Ώ Dangerous: The Double Album.  The numbers are rock solid for Wallen, who’s apparently secured an audience who enjoys all the 🎡 β€œCountry A$$ Shit” he has to offer. Sorry – couldn’t resist!

πŸ’ The highest charting debut on the latest edition of the Billboard 200 arrives courtesy of πŸŽ™ Anuel AA and πŸŽ™ Ozuna.  πŸ’Ώ Los Dioses launches at no. 10.

πŸ’ Unfortunately for πŸŽ™ Lil Skies, he didn’t perform as well as Anuel AA & Ozuna. He totally has to be β€˜bothered’ that πŸ’Ώ Unbothered debuts modestly at no. 50.

Billboard Hot 100 πŸ“‰

πŸ’ πŸŽ™ Olivia Rodrigo spends a third consecutive week at no. 1 on the Hot 100 with 🎡 β€œDrivers License”

πŸ’ πŸŽ™ Sabrina Carpenter launches in the top-50 – no. 48 – with her first single of 2021, 🎡 β€œSkin.”

πŸ’ πŸ† Grammy winnersπŸŽ™ Billie Eilish and πŸŽ™ ROSALIA take 🎡 β€œLo Vas A Olvidar” to no. 62.
