4N Yardi, Like That [📷: Pynk Gorilla Entertainment]“You like it when me do it LIKE THAT!” Yaasss, 🎙 4N Yardi (Kirkpatrick Bailey)! On November 10, 2023, the new LGBT 🏳️‍🌈, dancehall artist came in hot 🥵 with his first official single, 🎵 “LIKE THAT” 💪 💪 💪. The brief but potent record is both a banger and a bop – it oozes with fierceness! 4N Yardi (4N being a stylized version of the word, foreign), hails from Jamaica 🇯🇲.  On Instagram, Bailey provides some background on his electrifying single. A key highlight: It’s definitely taboo to see someone LGBT tackle the dancehall genre but I’m willing to be the sacrificial lamb. Slay, King!

Bitmoji ImageSo, what makes “LIKE THAT” the banger and bop that it is? Well, the production 🎛️, idiomatic of dancehall music, with hip-hop vibes, too, makes this record catch the ear.  The music makes you want to move and groove, which is always a selling point.  But, it’s not only a slick backdrop that makes the ears perk up.  It’s the boldness and fearlessness of 4N Yardi.  He is true to self, without dare censoring who he is. One reason why it is taboo to see an LGBT artist in the dancehall genre is that Jamaica has ample LGBT issues historically, which is sad. But as Bailey asserts, he’s willing to be the sacrificial lamb.  There are no shortages of juicy one-liners, including, “Block a nigga like a stop 🛑 sign / If you got a big bag, it’s a green light🚦,” and the more risqué, “I’mma suck that meat off like white off of rice.” Damn! The confidence goes a long away, particularly when he asserts, “He know that I’m the baddest one / If a nigga cross me, he the saddest one / He know that I’m the only one / 4N, top dog, I’m the new don.”  After listening to 🎵 “LIKE THAT”, 4N Yardi may very well be the new don.
