24hrs, Lie Detector © BMG Rights Management24hrs, with the help of Lil Pump, team up to discover the truth on single, “Lie Detector.”  To quote Fantasia, ‘Truth is,’ it’s average, merely okay at best.

24hrs enlists Lil Pump for single, “Lie Detector.” “Lie Detector” features exuberant, major key production.  This is a surprising contrast from the expected – minor key and darker vibes.  24hrs is drenched in vocal effects, making for an equally bright, unique, yet cliché, modern rap sound.  Some will love it, others not so much.  Arguably, the best part of his performance is the hook, which is certainly catchy enough.

“Cut the check, go bye-bye-bye / Foreign trips, Dubai-bai-bai / OG, get high-high-high / Lie detector, don’t lie-lie-lie.”

Yeah, it lacks depth, and the rhyming is corny AF, but still, it’s infectious.  24hrs serves up a longer verse (verse one) and later, a shorter one (verse three).  He doesn’t say much in either, mostly clichés –  material things, money, and sex. Lil Pump doesn’t offer much substance on the second verse either.  That said, it is more varied than some of his rhymes as a lead artist. There’s still repetition though.

Final Thoughts

How does “Lie Detector” stack up? It’s okay but “nothing to write home about.” Neither 24hrs or Lil Pump bring anything brand new, truly notable, or transcendent to the table.
