Album: Trigga Reloaded, 2015

R&B and pop stars can get into the foreign action too.  When foreigns are in the hands of Trey Songz, he’s not merely referring to automobiles. No, the type of rides he has in mind extends below the belt.  On the remixed edition of his sexually-driven hit, he enlists Justin Bieber for the assist.  While Bieber gives him a lift, Trey Songz handles most of the dirty work himself.

“After we leave girl, you know where you going / Straight to the ‘tel, you ain’t leaving ‘til the morning / Same old thing, yeah you know that’s shit’s boring / American you know I had to cop that foreign / American you know I had to cop that foreign / She got in that bikini when we in the Lamborghini.”

Future, Honest © Epic12. Future ft. André 3000, “Benz Friendz (Whatchutola)”

Honest, 2014

“I told that b*tch I don’t give a f*ck about a Benz, b*tch.” – André 3000

“Can’t no Maybach prevent a n*gga from makin’ mula.” – Future

According to Future, “These cars don’t mean shit.” Hmm, interesting considering the fact that Future had several Rolls-Royce Wraith fueled rhymes on the 12 Songs That Name-Drop the Rolls-Royce Wraith | Playlist.  One of the quirkiest songs that he’s ever recorded, “Benz Friendz” also ranks among the crème de la crème. He got the legendary André 3000 on the track – that’s worthy of a victory lap itself! Considering it references Mercedes Benz in its title, it naturally appears on our Benz playlist as well.

Ace Hood, Trials & Tribulations © Cash Money13. Ace Hood Ft. Future & Rick Ross, “Bugatti”

Album: Trials & Tribulations, 2013

No foreign car song playlist is complete without “Bugatti.” Clearly, “Bugatti” is the biggest hit of Ace Hood’s career.  Of course, Ace owe a lot to Future, who nails one of the best autotune-driven hooks of his career.

“I come looking for you with Haitians / I stay smoking on good Jamaican / I f*ck b*tches from different races / You get money they started hating / I woke up in a new Bugatti.”

So, Future, the new cars really don’t mean anything, huh?  Ace Hood flexes hard himself, and even throws in Porsches for good measure.  Rick Ross, making his millionth appearance on this list, name-drops Rolls-Royce.  Also, his signature “shooters” line arrives on his verse here (“You gotta love me I got shooters out the D-League”).

Lupe Fiasco, Food & Liquor II © Atlantic14. Lupe Fiasco, “Lamborghini Angels”

Album: Food & Liquor II: The Great American Rap Album Pt. 1, 2012

“Lamborghini Angels” is well produced, characterized by its clapping synthetic drums, transposed lowered pitched vocal interjections/effects, and that never ending synthetic loop. If nothing else, Lupe’s flow is solid, driving, and unfaltering. The lyrics are as brainy as ever. Expectedly, the hook shines.

“I see diamond-flooded demons, Lamborghini angels… /Halos down with the doors flapping when they came through…”

Following the hook, Lupe Fiasco is simply on fire.  It takes a couple of listens to follow his rhymes and receive the full effect of his message. Once you do however, the magic of “Lamborghini Angels” shines brightly. Intelligent and clever by all means.

Rick Ross, Teflon Don © Def Jam15. Rick Ross Ft. Chrisette Michele & Drake, “Aston Martin Music”

Album: Teflon Don, 2010

We love Rick Ross so much, we decided to give him yet another feature on the Foreign Cars Songs list.  For this one, we look back to his Teflon Don era.  Enlisting the smooth, jazzy, and soulful vocals of Chrisette Michele as well as now superstar Drake, “Aston Martin Music” was one of many gems from Teflon Don.  Is there much talk about a fine automobile like an Aston Martin? No. There’s plenty of talk about sex and of course “Listening to the Aston Martin music.”

Lloyd Banks, Hunger for More 2 © G-Unit16. Lloyd Banks ft. Juelz Santana, “Beamer, Benz, or Bentley”

Album: H.F.M. 2 (The Hunger for More 2), 2010

“Beamer, Benz or Bentley / Beamer, Benz or Bentley / Beamer, Benz or Bentley / My jeans are never empty, b*tch.”

Basically, Lloyd Banks, assisted by Juelz Santana, flexes hard on “Beamer, Benz, or Bentley.”  Whatever car they’re driving on whatever given day is fresh to death. Beyond that, what more is there to say?  This made the Benz playlist.

“I’m fresh, I’m fly, I’m so damn high / More than 500 horses when I roll boy.”
