1. Victoria Monét, “SOS (Sex on Sight)”

JAGUAR II: Deluxe // Lovett Music, Inc. / RCA // 2024

Victoria Monét, Jaguar II (Deluxe) [📷: RCA]“I need that SOS, sex on sight, baby, it’s urgent / Let me fuck up all your plans, come put this work in.” Grammy-winning R&B singer/songwriter Victoria Monét is honest about her sexual desires in “SOS (Sex on Sight)”, a highlight from JAGUAR II: Deluxe. On “SOS,” she taps one of R&B’s sexiest musicians, Grammy-winner Usher, for the assist. Monét, Usher, Ant Clemons, Daniel Church, Ido Zmishlany, and producer Camper penned “SOS.” There is plenty to love about “SOS (Sex on Sight).” It benefits from a soulful, old-school sound. There’s nothing like lush instrumental accompaniment and a big, robust bass line. Monét takes the reins first. She never gets too high or too low. She delivers a well-rounded, cool-energy performance.  After setting the tone in the first verse, she unveils the chorus, which features a tuneful melody and memorable lyrics:

“I am way too sexy

To be alone

Wanna show you what type

Of time that I’m on (What type of time I’m on)

Want you to come (Want you to come)

Send me your ETA

And when you lay me down

Pin my legs to the clouds

And I hope you’re ready for the rain.”

Oh, snap! Besides the lyrics and tune, instrumentally, there is a welcome addition of synth horns post-chorus (“SOS, please / Let it fall, let it go”). Usher enters the mix during the second verse. His performance begins with rap and spoken word.  It adds to the character of the song. Soon enough, he finds his pitch, singing the rhythmic, sexed-up vocals. “And when I hit it right in the right place / Look me right in the eyes, do what I say,” he sings, adding, “Bend it over, throw it back, you and I, tongue-tied / I’ma kiss it good, good, good night.” Victoria Monét and Usher hit all the right notes on “SOS (Sex on Sight)”.

2. Sexyy Red & Bruno Mars, “Fat Juicy & Wet”

“Fat Juicy & Wet” // Rebel / gamma. / The Smeezingtons / Atlantic // 2025

Sexyy Red & Bruno Mars, Fat Juicy & Wet [📷: Rebel / gamma. / The Smeezingtons / Atlantic]“Fat, juicy, and wet (Ah-ah) / I don’t even gangbang, pussy so good / Make me throw up a set (Ah-ah), uh / That good kitty-kitty, good kitty-kitty.” Well, meow! Raise your hand if you ever envisioned a Sexyy Red (Janae Wherry) and Bruno Mars collaboration. “Fat Juicy & Wet” finds the raunchy, Gen-Z St. Louis rapper and the Grammy-winning millennial pop/R&B artist working together. Mars, Wherry, Jeremy Reeves, Jonathan Yip, Kameron Glasper, and Ray Romulus penned “Fat Juicy & Wet.” Mars and The Stereotypes produced it. Early on, Bruno shocks us with his overt, sexed-up chorus.  We expect no less of Sexyy Red, who gets down and dirty in the first verse, but to hear Mars talk about pussy so freely and often… it ‘hits’ different. “You better arch your back, put your ass into it.” Ooh-wee! Sexyy Red’s sexcapades aren’t shocking:

“Ayy, slob on my clit, suck on my toes

Twenty-four-karat, pussy drip like gold (Ooh)

Throw my legs back, eat my booty from the front (Mm)

Milk mustache on your face when I cum (Yeah).”

It’s filthy, mind you, but on brand for her.  She drops a second verse that remains NSFW including “Titties on your forehead,” “Arch your back, put your ass into it,” and “Squirt in your mouth.” Nasty, nasty, nasty.  The sound is giving West Coast, hyphy vibes, which is perfect for a sex song.  “Fat Juicy & Wet” is something else!

3. _SANTI_ & Samjgarfield, “BUKAKKE”

DADDY (EP) // SANTI // 2024

_SANTI_ DADDY (EP) [📷: SANTI]“1, 2, 3, 4, 5 / Let’s make a group shoot / Do you got milk? /… To make my milkshake.” Oh, boy… or should I say, oh boys 😈! The fierce and handsome_SANTI_, collaborating with music producer, songwriter, and the very-easy-on-the-eyes Samjgarfield (SJG), doesn’t waste any time getting to what he desires in “BUKAKKE”, the NSFW third track from his late 2024 EP, DADDY.  Just in case you didn’t catch what was implied lyrically, bukkake is a sexual practice in which several men ejaculate on the face of an individual. The group, shoot, and milk make sense within the context of the lyrics now, right? Oh, and as for the milkshake, we already know “it brings all the boys to the yard”. Anyways, if you do happen to Google search bukkake, some search results will yield p0rn – fair warning!

Sex-positivity is full throttle from our fearless and handsome pop artist. His attitude is through the roof, and we wouldn’t have it any other way. “Milkman got me waiting for a milky treat / I be the Dairy Queen / Blizzard,” he sings, lustily, adding, “Put it all on me.” Embracing his role of “Pumping daddies,” he encourages the men, “Come and dump you come and you go.” Come and dump are the keywords… then again, the ‘go’ should be noted too. _SANTI_ doesn’t stop there.  Besides being “Vers like Hannah Montana,” and “Cockiana barbiana,” we get a killer verse in Spanish, signaled by a production switch.  And by killer, there is a Jeffrey Dahmer reference: “Más freaky que Jeffrey Dahmer / Te la Saco como una prepago / Santi sabe que yo te lo hago” – “Freakier than Jeffrey Dahmer / I’ll take it from you like a hooker / Santi knows that I do it to you.” Holy fucking shit! Backed by badass music accompaniment (get it, SJG), _SANTI_ ‘does the damn thing’ on the risqué, utterly satisfying “BUKAKKE”.

4. Grant & Ash, “Heterosexuality”

Grant & Ash // A Twink and a Redhead – EP // ATAARH // 2024

Grant & Ash, A Twink And A Redhead (EP) [📷: ATAARH]“Heterosexuality / A man and a woman in the land of the free.” Ah, the twink and the redhead dropped another bop with “Heterosexuality”. Grant Gibbs is the twink (“The man at the register asked me, how’s your day? / I said pretty good, but I’m feeling kinda gay!”), while Ashley Gill is the redhead in the dynamic duo, Grant & Ash. This time, the duo sings about “Heterosexuality”.  Gibbs was gay…  “She put the fear of God in me / When I first saw her / I prayed it all away and so now I’m not gay.” Interesting change of events. As an admitted skeptic, this dear twink has become straight, Ashley asserts their love is legit: “… The way he makes me feel / It’s an earthquake.” That’s only a portion of the jam-packed “Heterosexuality” penned by Gibbs, Gill, Nick Laughlin, and producer, Drew Louis.  The musical accompaniment is sleek, embracing the country wave of 2024.

“Heterosexuality / Got my beer and my truck, and my girl’s with me.” Grant, what’s happened, my guy? As for Gibbs, she “Stand(s) by my man it’s the American dream.” Gays, no worries! “Heterosexuality” still has its queer moments.  Ashley may paint Grant as straight, spending time “with his boys,” but lyrics like “Bros before hoes” and “They’re bending over backwards I’m so glad they came” suggest otherwise.  Also, what about the “But baby once we’re married I’m / Taking that pipe,” to which Grant answers, “Whoa, easy girl.” Grant & Ash keep it ‘Biblical’ in the bridge:

“God put us here on this earth together

Temptation, don’t bite the apple

Might’ve just screwed the snake in the tree

It’s Adam and Eve, not Adam and Steve, yeah.”

Well… elements of those lyrics are Biblical, sans the screwing the snake and Adam and Steve.  Notably,  Leviticus 18:22 is often used in the ‘NOT Adam and Steve’ argument (You shall not lie with a male as with a woman; it is an abomination).  So, what does one make of Grant & Ash’s “Heterosexuality”? Comedy. Satire.  To be taken with a grain of salt. Also, for those who feared the adorable Grant had indeed become straight, the entertaining music video confirms he’s still 🌈. This brief, heterosexual country song is a blast and an overabundance of twang and high-flying vocal harmonies.

5. Chris Todisco, “Sex Kitten”

“Sex Kitten” // Todisco Music // 2024

Chris Todisco, Sex Kitten [📷: Todisco Music]“Don’t think I’ll be the side hoe / I will shatter your ego,” a feisty Chris Todisco asserts in the first verse of his naughty, sexed-up single, “Sex Kitten”.  He continues, “Trust me I’ll get what I want / Strip down, watch me while I flaunt.”  If you’ve got it, then, by all means, flaunt it.  Todisco not only has a banging body (#SLAY), but he is also talented. “Sex Kitten” clocks in under three minutes which is enough for Chris to sufficiently titillate.  Todisco penned “Sex Kitten” while Fantom produced it. The production is incredible.  The musical accompaniment is sleek to the nth degree.  The sound is clubby – the catalyst for dirty dancing! The tone is set by the menacing sounds from the beginning.  Chris also sets the tone early on with his flirty, playful, and sexy vocals.  He brings ample attitude and personality to this teasing song. Notably, the vocals are ‘talked’ during the verse instead of pitched. “You let me know that you are mine / You’re not used to fucking with a bitch this divine,” he ‘sings’ confidently, adding, “Damn right I’m fine / Don’t waste my time / Break my heart, and you should know that it is a crime.” Ooh-wee! I love the whispered vocals during the pre-chorus, which are naughty too: “I like it when you bite my neck / Be on your best behavior / Keep your ass in check…” The chorus is pitched.  The melody is simple – a descending line – but highly effective. Naughtily, he sings, “Keep it in (keep it in) / All bitten / Your vixen / Sex kitten.” Damn.  Chris Todisco brings it hard on “Sex Kitten”, PERIOD!

6. Maurice Conrad, “Männersex”

 “Männersex” // Creactive Media // 2023

Maurice Conrad, Männersex [📷: Creactive Media]“Du findest deutschen rap cool?” Yes, Maurice Conrad (dey/they), I think German rap is cool. Conrad is confident in their 2023 rap song, “Männersex”, which is rapped exclusively in German.  So, what is this German rap song about? Conrad continues spitting in the chorus, “Ihr redet über Männlichkeit / Und dass ihr echte Männer seid / Ich rede über Sex mit Männern / Weil ich finde Männer geil.” Okay, okay… what does that mean, in English? “You talk about masculinity / And that you’re real men / I talk about sex with men / Because I think men are hot.” This is a German gay rap song about men having sex with men! You don’t hear that every day! Notably, a Grindr profile is a requirement for Maurice to talk to other rappers (“Denn ich rede nicht mit MCs ohne Grindr-Profil”). Abturzmusik X Viktor, Climate Justus, and Creactive Media produced this enjoyable and naughty, same-sex-loving rap track 🌈.

The backdrop goes hard like any other rap song. Maurice Conrad has a banging instrumental to share their desires with.  Also, they’re bold and unapologetic.  They don’t care what other rappers rap about, or what other people think. They enjoy doing it with men.  There is no shortage of memorable lyrics, some of which aren’t too difficult to hear in English while reading the translation.  Like many heterosexual rappers, Conrad has two beside them – only they’re boys instead of girls. Memorably, Conrad spits, “Darf jeder einmal ran, guck dir an, wie ich sie reite / Ich mach’ alles mit links, fühl’ mich wie Schraubenzieher (“Everyone can have a go, look at how I ride them / I do everything with my left hand, I feel like a screwdriver”). Seeking to eradicate embarrassing homophobia in German rap (beginning with the Grindr profile requirement), Conrad colorfully raps in the second verse, roughly translated:

“Because I’m not talking to MCs without a Grindr profile

German rap is mostly some kind of overhype

Embarrassing homophobic lines

No, I’m not sorry

While they’re fronting me and screaming (oh, oh)

A twink takes me from behind and I’m coming

I’m pushing for the stars, bringing gay rap to the charts

Do I like sucking cock? Indeed, I do!

All my friends are queer and interesting

A boy by my side and two dicks in my hand.”

Holy shit! Interestingly, a different translation from German to English makes the ‘twink’ lyric more graphic: “I’m getting it in the ass from a twink, and that shit makes me cum.” Maurice Conrad brings fearless queerness to “Männersex” (“Male Sex”) which is verdammt geil!

7. The Dare, “Sex”

The Sex EP // The Dare Is A Business / Republic // 2023

The Dare, The Sex EP [📷: The Dare Is A Business / Republic]“Sex, sex, sex, sex, sex, sex.” That perfectly describes the song “Sex” by The Dare (Harrison Smith). The word ‘sex’ is uttered repeatedly.  That, my friends, is a gargantuan understatement! “Sex” is the second track from The Dare’s The Sex EP, released in 2023. The provocative cover art for the EP earned Smith backlash.  Some stated Smith was promoting pedophilia – yikes! Smith and Nick Sylvester composed and produced “Sex” in all its indie sleaziness.  “Sex” features sick production work with its prominent, dizzying, rhythmic synths and hard-hitting beat.  The groove is everything. The talk-singing is highly effective, showing off ample personality.  The lyrics are shallow and sexual, yet don’t enter NSFW territory. “Sex, I want to turn you on, and then I want you gone / You might even hate me a little bit,” Smith asserts in the first verse, continuing, “Sex, I want to call your mom and tell her you’re the bomb / I might even see if she’s into it.” Wow! In the second verse, he questions how much sex he has had, accurately adding, “Sex, it’s what I’m thinking of, some people call it ‘love’ / I might even finish too quick.” In the chorus, he claims, “Sex, to her, it’s just a bad word / You don’t understand, but you don’t need to do it.” Hmm, that’s a male response. Anyways,  “Sex” is a song that should be taken with a grain of salt.  The cards are revealed early on, and no deep analysis is necessary. It’s entertaining, silly, and sexed-up.

8. JORDY, “BREAKUP SEX”

SEX WITH MYSELF AND IT LASTS LONGER // JORDY / EMPIRE // 2024

JORDY, SEX WITH MYSELF AND IT LASTS LONGER [📷: JORDY / EMPIRE]“Felt so good until it burned / But I ain’t ever one to leave behind loose ends.” In some cases, the ‘burn’ isn’t a good feeling… at least sexually.  But in the context of the first verse of “BREAKUP SEX” by JORDY, our handsome pop singer/songwriter isn’t referencing an STI… In this case, his relationship with his boyfriend has gone south.  That said, a key component of his single isn’t about their demise but about what they do before their demise.  “Darlin’, you want me, you got me / One last time.” Yes, before they call it quits, they ‘hit it.’ JORDY and producer POM POM penned this sexual happening. And who’s to judge, especially if the soon-to-be ex-boyfriend was good in bed?

“Breakup sex

You and me undressed

Only one night left

Do it like we’ll never do it again

Get wet, leave it all in the bed

Do what we do best

‘Cause you know we’re gonna do it again.”

Reading into the shallow chorus where sex is king, one has to ask, beyond the breakup sex, will they hook up down the line again? Also, analyzing the relationship, how much of a role did sex play in it?  Emotionally, things aren’t sound (“All my tears only fed your flame”) but sexually… (“And always pleasure coming with the pain”).  JORDY ‘brings the heat’ to his performance, singing beautifully and enticing us fiercely. Who doesn’t desire to be the recipient of that good sex? With a fabulous instrumental and a tuneful melody, “BREAKUP SEX” is the S-H-I-T!

9. Nicholas Dante, “Sexsymbol”

Sexsymbol // Clouded Diamonds // 2024

Nicholas Dante, Sexsymbol [📷: Clouded Diamonds]“Sexsymbol” is the short but sweet Nicholas Dante joint that concludes his 2024 album, Sexsymbol.  The singer/songwriter is a handsome fella 😉, so, who can blame the fact that “Everybody, everybody, wants a piece of me.” If you’ve partaken of Dante’s music in the past, you know he has a big personality.  “Sexsymbol” is no exception.  In the meat of the song, after asserting “Everybody, everybody, wants a piece of me,” he adds, “Take me in, chew me out, grabbing for the piece / Push me to the limit, try to pull some shit on me / Tell me how is that gonna be.” Oh, shit! Dante provides more insight in the verse:

“Tried to fall in love, but they all ghosted me

If I ran a poll, they would say I’m crazy

Nothing is sustainable when you lived like me

So, this is how it’s gonna be.”

Why? He’s a crazy, deranged, and insane sex symbol.  A whore! An object, dammit!  His words, not mine… most of ‘em! Besides his energetic vocals, the instrumental accompaniment is lit.  Seedy sounding, anchored by an insane, rhythmic beat (it’s giving hyperpop), “Sexsymbol” is an ear-catching bop you need in your life.

10. Marcy Playground, “Sex and Candy”

Marcy Playground // Capitol Catalog // 1997

Marcy Playground, Marcy Playground [📷: Capitol Catalog]“Hanging around, downtown by myself / And I had so much time to sit and think about myself,” John Wozniak asserts. Ah, introspection! Also, the Marcy Playground lead vocalist and guitarist is lonely. But then, something happens: “And then there she was, like double cherry pie / Yeah, there she was, like disco super-fly.” Translation: She was fine, and he wanted some of her like, yum 😋! Thus begins “Sex and Candy”, the second track from Marcy Playgroud’s platinum-certified, debut album, Marcy Playground. “Sex and Candy” is the sole entry from the alternative rock band to impact the pop charts.  It peaked at no. 8 on the Billboard Hot 100 in April 1998.

What made “Sex and Candy” the sugar honey iced tea? The sound of the record is a pro.  The rock groove is undeniable. The alternative vibe vibes hard. Wozniak sings well, bringing tuneful melodies and most of all, memorable lyrics to life.  It’s not often you hear “there she was, in platform double suede” or “she was, like disco lemonade.” Disco lemonade? According to a Songfacts interview with Wozniak, “It (“Sex and Candy”) means so many different things, and so many different parts of it came from so many different places.” He adds:

It’s just about seeing some sexy girl and then falling in love… I’m telling you, when I was very young I experimented with drugs, but when I was writing these songs, I wasn’t high. But it sounds like I was high.

Word. Of course, the song’s biggest claim to fame is the unforgettable chorus:

“I smell sex and candy here, mmhmmm

Who’s that lounging in my chair? Mhm

Who’s that casting devious stares in my direction?

Momma, this is surely a dream…”

Interestingly, “Sex and Candy” was composed in only an hour.  That’s almost unbelievable given the unique, colorful lyrics. While Marcy Playground never struck gold again, the brilliance and enigma of their 1997 classic, “Sex and Candy” is sufficient. In 2014, Maroon 5 covered it in their album, V.

11. James Brown, “Get Up (I Feel Like Being a) Sex Machine”

The 50th Anniversary Collection // UMG Recordings, Inc. // 2003

James Brown, 50th Anniversary Collection [📷: UMG Recordings Inc.]“Fellas, I’m ready to get up and do my thing (Go ahead, do your thing, then, get on up and do it) / …I want to get into it, man, you know /… Like a, like a sex machine, man, (Yeah, yeah!).” There will only ever be one James Brown.  Rightfully dubbed The Godfather of funk, he left an indelible mark on the soul sub-genre.  One of his best songs is “Get Up (I Feel Like Being a) Sex Machine”. Sex Machine” was written by Brown, Bobby Byrd, and Ronald Lenhoff.  Despite featuring sex in its title, it was a highly successful pop hit. It peaked at no. 15 on the Billboard Hot 100.  More than five decades after its arrival, “Sex Machine” remains the sugar honey iced tea – a timeless gem from James.

What makes “Get Up (I Feel Like Being a) Sex Machine” so good? James Brown infuses ample personality into his performance, period.  Electrifying, the electricity begins with the infectious intro. After establishing the tone, the rhythm section enters and is firmly ‘in the pocket. The groove is badass – funky as hell! The drums, rhythmic guitar, and bass ‘bring the heat.’ Notably, The Original J.B.s back Brown. This includes  Bootsy Collins on bass and his brother, Catfish Collins on guitar.  Also, Brown provides some bluesy work on the keys.  Even with sex raising eyebrows, the lyrics are simple and generally, non-offensive.

“Get up (get on up) / Get up (Get on up)

Stay on the scene (Get on up)

Like a sex machine (Get on up).”

“Sex Machine” gives more of an attitude than bedroom talk. Notably, Brown quotes a past hit in the second verse: “You said the feeling you got to get / You give me the fever in a cold sweat.” Other notable moments include the unforgettable “Take ‘em to the bridge?” where Brown infectiously asserts, “Hit me now! / Come on! / Stay on the scene, like a sex machine.” “Get Up (I Feel Like Being a) Sex Machine”  is a certified classic.
