DJ Jonas Blue, with the help of Raye, drops enjoyable new single, “By Your Side.”

DJs, DJs, DJs – they’re everywhere.  Jonas Blue adds to the total. Blue enlists Raye to sing on his latest single, “By Your Side.” “By Your Side” ends up being an enjoyable listen, though it fails to be a game changer.

“By Your Side” features typical electro-pop production cues. These cues include a thudding beat, synth, piano chords. Raye delivers commanding vocals, showing off a nice tone and exuberant sound.  The use of strings during the hook is pro.  This adds intensity coupled with the electro-pop cues. Unsurprisingly, “By Your Side” is gimmicky. Many electronic tracks trend in this direction. The chorus is catchy as albeit:

“Up, all night / I waited for you all my life / hold my hand and keep me close / I’ll never let you go / no not tonight / keep me by your side / keep me by your side…”

Final Thoughts

All in all, “By Your Side” is incredibly catchy, enjoyable, has the potential to be a hit.  It’s not the second coming or something particularly new, but certainly pleasant.
