Tim McGraw & Faith Hill are the talk of this week’s music shopping list, releasing their highly-anticipated collaborative album, ‘The Rest of Our Life.’

Ah, the third music release week in November.  Friday, November 17, 2017 isn’t as decorated as November 10, 2017, which featured Taylor Swift (Reputation).  Nonetheless, there I one high-profile album: The Rest of Our Life, the collaborative album by Tim McGraw and Faith Hill.  Additional albums hail from the likes of Sia, Chase Rice, Bob Seger, and others.

1. Tim McGraw & Faith Hill, The Rest of Our Life

Ah, the long-awaited collaborative album has arrived.  That collaborative album is between country royalty: Tim McGraw and Faith Hill.  That country royalty also happens to be a married couple, which makes things even more special.  The Rest of Our Life is comprised of 11 tracks, including pre-release singles  “The Rest of Our Life,” notably co-written by Ed Sheeran, “Telluride,” “Break First,” and early promo single “Speak to a Girl.”

2. Sia, Everyday Is Christmas

Singer-songwriter Sia returns in the holiday spirit! That’s right, Sia drops her first Christmas album, Everyday Is Christmas. Those looking for the traditional Christmas album need to look elsewhere – there are no traditional songs on Everyday is Christmas.  Comprised of 10 songs, singles “Santa’s Coming for Us” and “Snowman” arrived in advance of the album.

3. Chase Rice, Lambs & Lions

After initially delaying Lambs & Lions, Chase Rise releases his latest effort – the same day as Tim McGraw and Faith Hill drop The Rest of Our Life.  Oh well, can’t win them all.  Nonetheless, Lambs & Lions marks the country singer’s first new album since 2014 (Ignite the Night).  Comprised of 10 tracks, singles “Lions,” “Eyes on You,” and “Three Chords & The Truth” arrived in advance of Lambs & Lions.

4. Bob Seger, I Knew You When

72-year old rock vet Bob Seger returns with his first new album in three years, I Knew You When.  I Knew You When serves as the follow-up for Ride Out, which arrived in 2014.  Comprised of 13 tracks in its deluxe edition, single “Busload of Faith” arrived in advance of the album.

5. Morrissey, Low in High School

Veteran alternative musician Morrissey returns with Low in High School, his first new solo album in eight years.  Low in High School serves as the follow up for Years of Refusal (2009).  Comprised of 12 tracks, singles “I Wish You Lonely,” “Jacky’s Only Happy When She’s Up on the Stage,” and “Spent the Day in Bed” were issued in advance of the album.

6. Sharon Jones & The Dap-Kings, Soul of a Woman

Prepare to shed a tear.  Beloved soul singer Sharon Jones, who passed away at the age of 60 in November 2016, returns with her final album, the posthumously released Soul of a Woman. Comprised of 11 tracks, single “Matter of Time” was issued in advance of the album.

7. Green Day, Greatest Hits: God’s Favorite Band

No, there is no brand-new Green Day album arriving in 2017. But, there is a greatest hits compilation from ‘God’s favorite band.’  Greatest Hits: God’s Favorite Band features 22 tracks, mostly gems from the past.  In the mix, however, are some newbies, namely “Ordinary World,” a duet with an unlikely collaborator, Miranda Lambert. According to Rolling Stone, “Ordinary World” is revised from the version that appears on Revolution Radio.
