October 13, 2017.  Mark this date on your calendars music enthusiasts! Why you ask? Lots of albums arrive on October 13, 2017.  Lots and lots.  Some of the big names that drop new music include P!nk, Beck, and Gucci Mane – unless he shocks us again by pushing back the date.  P!nk represents the crème de la crème, making her comeback with Beautiful Trauma.

 

1. P!nk, Beautiful Trauma

P!nk, Beautiful Trauma © RCAAfter a five-year hiatus, P!nk returns with her seventh studio album, Beautiful Trauma.  The last time we heard from P!nk as a solo artist was in 2012 with The Truth About Love, which featured hits including “Try” and “Just Give Me the Reason” featuring Nate Ruess of Fun.  To her credit, the 38-year old artist collaborated with Dallas Green as You+Me for a low-key, 2014 album, Rose Ave.  Comprised of 13 songs, singles Beautiful Trauma,” “Whatever You Want,” and What About Usarrived in advance of the album.

2. Beck, Colors

Beck, Colors © CapitolBeck returns following a three-year hiatus with ColorsColors serves as the follow-up to the alternative artist’s Grammy-winning Morning Phase (2014). Comprised of 11 tracks, four singles were issued in advance of the album: Dear Life,” “Wow,” “Up All Night,” and Dreams.”  

3. Gucci Mane, Mr. Davis

Following a busy 2016 (three notable projects in Everybody Looking, Woptober, and The Return of East Atlanta Santa), as well as a 2017 mixtape (Droptopwop) Gucci Mane returns with Mr. Davis.  Comprised of 17 tracks, singles I Get the Bag,” featuring Migos, Curve,” featuring The Weeknd, “Tone it Down,” featuring Chris Brown, and Make Love,” featuring Nicki Minaj, arrived in advance of the album.

 4. St. Vincent, Masseduction

St. Vincent, Masseduction © Loma VistaAnnie Clark, better known as St. Vincent, returns with Masseduction following a three-year hiatus.  Masseduction serves as the follow-up for her Grammy-winning, self-titled album. Comprised of 13 tracks, two singles were issued in advance of the album: Los Agelessand New York.”

5. Jessie James Decker, Southern Girl City Lights

Jessie James Decker, Southern Girl City Lights © EpicCountry singer Jessie James Decker releases her sophomore album, Southern Girl City Lights.  James was originally Jessie James (before marriage), releasing her self-titled debut album in 2009.  Comprised of 12 tracks, five singles were issued in advance of Southern Girl City Lights: “Southern Girl City Lights,” “Almost Over You” featuring Randy Houser, “All Filled Up,” “Hungry,” and “Pretty Girl.”

 

 

6. Carly Pearce, Every Little Thing

Comprised of 13 tracks, six singles were issued in advance of the album: “Hide the Wine,” “Every Little Thing,” “If My Name Was Whiskey,” “Color,” “I Need a Ride Home,” and “Dare Ya.”

7. dvsn, Morning After

dvsn, Morning After © OVO / Warner Bros.Canadian R&B duo dvsn returns with its sophomore album, Morning AfterMorning After arrives more than a year after SEPT 5TH (2016).  Comprised of 13 tracks, four singles were issued in advance of the album: Think About Me,” “Don’t Choose,” “Mood,” and “P.O.V.” 

8. Marc E. Bassy, Gossip Columns

Bassy releases his debut album, Gossip ColumnsGossip Columns follows his 2016 EP, Groovy People, which featured hit single, “You & Me,” featuring G-Eazy. Comprised of 16 tracks, four singles were issued ahead of Gossip Columns, including the reprisal of “You & Me”: So Simple,” featuring G-Eazy, “Plot Twist,” featuring Kyle, and “Plot Twist (Remix)” featuring Hailee Steinfeld.
